After murdering Hannes Gullason, Alexis threw himself out of the window, sending broken pieces of wood and glass splinters raining down to the ground beneath.
Inside the Infinity Chamber, everyone had yet to recover from what they just witnessed. The room was engulfed in silence. It took a whole minute before someone snapped back from her trance, and it was because the news presenter on the other side started shouting very loudly and asking what just happened.
This was enough time for Alexis to run away.
The pure-blood vampire was panicked. Where could he go? He could go nowhere. His crime had been announced to the whole world. He had no place in this world!
