The village was even smaller than Hollygrave. One could almost say that it was not a real village. It might consist of only a hundred or so people that decided to settle together in one place and build a community.
Only a wooden board that hung askew from a molding post told Aiden and his coven members about the name of the little village: "Sheepfort".
On their way to reach the village, Aiden, Victor, and Dania had to waddle through shallow waters. Fat fishes jumped out of the water and hit their legs before they returned and swam along the river.
Sheepfort was surrounded by this small strip of river, and this was exactly why the villagers did not leave the village even after they turned into rabid vampires. Rabid vampires were initially very reluctant to get in touch with water. Only excessive hunger could force them to cross the stream and look for food outside.
The reason why they had yet to reach that point was apparent when Aiden and his two companions arrived at Sheepfort.
