The wolves had learned how to cook…somewhat. They had managed to roast a duck, though it was unseasoned and bland. Lily wondered why they even owned a stove and oven if they couldn’t cook. If they didn’t cook.
Still, she managed to devour it, her body pining for a simple protein. Not the saucy, decorative crap they served at the palace.
It was all but unflattering how she slurped and chewed and chomped, while six beautiful women watched her eat like she was the subject of a science experiment. Once she was finished, the twins cleared the table and Victoria offered her a hand.
"Let’s get you cleaned up," she said. "You’re covered in dirt and leaves."
