A New Perspective

Emilia runs over to Selene and pulls her into her tent. "Hi? You okay girl?" Selene asks with concern. Emilia shakes her head and looks up at Selene with a flushed face. "Help me. I have no idea what just happened." She confesses to the other female. Selene pats Emilia's head. "Tell me what's going on and I'll see what I can do." Selene says gently.

"I don't know what's going on. We were fighting one second and the next second Dietrich was kissing me. And I didn't stop him! Why didn't I stop him??" Emilia asks desperately. Selene can't hold back her laughter. "Maybe because you liked it? Did you stop to think about that?" She pauses as she looks at Emilia's disbelieving stare. "Wait. You really didn't think of that? You guys are mates, of course you're into him. Not to mention, Dietrich is fucking sexy. Oh but don't worry I'm not into him like that, I'm with Paul." She explains.

Emilia lifts an eyebrow. "You and Paul? No way. And sure Dietrich is attractive but that doesn't mean that I want to do things with him." Emilia says matter-of-factly. "Okay girl, either you're majorly in denial or you're blind. Because anyone with eyes can see the tension between you two." Selene presses. "Nope. I'm not into him like that. He's like a friend who was there when I needed someone. Nothing else." Emilia retaliates. "Oh wow, you are DEEP in your denial. Well, there's nothing we can do about it right now. Let's get some shut eye, Princess. Tomorrow we train you in a new subject: sex." Selene laughs.

The two females get ready for bed in silence. Selene falls asleep almost immediately after laying down. Emilia, on the other hand, struggles to sleep as her mind continues playing her kiss with Dietrich on repeat. 'No, I don't have time to think about this stuff. I need to focus on my goal. Besides, I didn't feel anything. It was just my imagination.' She keeps telling herself but the dampness that had formed in her underwear says otherwise.

Emilia wakes up to the sound of people bickering outside her tent. Curious, she carefully walks closer to listen in. "Sorry Captain but no can do. She's asleep right now and I doubt she's ready to face you anyways." Selene says. "But… wait what do you mean? She told you? And why can't I see her?! She's my mate!" Comes Dietrich's grumbling voice. "She didn't tell me anything. But anyone could guess what happened after seeing her face last night." Selene points out.

Emilia snickers and pokes her head out of the tent. "I'll be out in a second to check on your shoulder. Go wait inside your tent." She instructs Dietrich without looking at him. She retreats back into her own tent and listens to his receding footsteps. Emilia takes a breath and gently slaps herself in the face. "I got this. Nothing is going on." She tells herself as she gets changed and brushes her hair.

Emilia ties her hair into a ponytail and exits the tent once again. She walks with determination towards Dietrich's tent and enters without hesitation. Her facade falters as she spots a topless Dietrich sitting on his makeshift bed. She clears her throat and averts her eyes before stepping closer to him and removing his bandages. Looking away wasn't really helping her ignore his rippling muscles and intense stare.

"You know, taking a picture will make it last longer." She says teasingly. Dietrich shakes his head and looks away. "Sorry, I zoned out for a second. I was certain that you wouldn't want to be near me after last night. It's a relief that you aren't avoiding me." He says modestly. Emilia's eye twitches with irritation but she shakes it off. "Well, you're a wounded patient, I can't just leave you alone like this. Besides, nothing happened last night. It didn't mean anything and it doesn't change anything, Dietrich." She says matter-of-factly.

Her words strike a nerve in Dietrich as he moves his face closer to hers. "Oh really? Nothing happened and it doesn't mean anything? Alright then. But riddle me this, if you were so unaffected by it then why was the scent of lust pouring off of you? Even now, I can see it in your eyes." He retaliates. "That's because you're delusional. I felt nothing. I feel nothing. Anyway, your injury seems to be healing nicely so I don't think I'll need to do anything else for it. Just be mindful and don't do anything that will agitate it." She instructs him while keeping her eyes away from his body.

"And what kind of things would agitate it? Would repeating my actions from last night make it agitated? How about going a step further, would that agitate it? Shall we test it out so we can know what my limits are?" He asks smugly while leaning even closer, now only a few inches from her lips. Emilia gulps and pushes him backwards. "Sure, you can test it. Go ask Lila for help though. I have training to do." She says while feigning disinterest. Dietrich sits back and stares at with confusion. "Come on, I thought you were over that." He says while standing up.

Emilia accidentally lets her guard down and she turns in his direction to retort but stops as her eyes land on his chest. She gulps as she watches his muscles ripple with each movement. She snaps herself out of it before he catches her staring and quickly turns away. "It's fine Dietrich. You can sleep with whomever you want. I'm not interested anyways. Now if you'll excuse me, I have things to do." She says and then rushes out. 'Damn it, no.' She scolds herself mentally.

Emilia spots Paul and Selene in the distance and runs over to them. "Hey guys, which of you is willing to train and spar with me?" She asks excitedly. Selene and Paul exchange a look and shake their heads, pointing behind Emilia. "Looks like Dietrich is your partner." They say in unison. Emilia turns around and groans as she sees Dietrich giving her a smug grin.

"Fine." She grumbles as she walks over to him. Dietrich laughs at her defiant tone and pats her head. "You didn't really think you could escape me that easily, did you?" He says cockily. Emilia smacks his hand away from her, ignoring the sparks that flew through her when their hands touched. "Let's just get this over with." She grumbles irritably.

Emilia doesn't wait for Dietrich to prepare himself before she kicks him in the ribs and makes him fly backwards. Paul guffaws from the sidelines, "Ha! She got you!" Dietrich snorts in response. "That's how we're going to be now? Alright, you asked for it." He growls. Dietrich rushes at Emilia but she dodges and kicks him in the back, making him stumble forward. He growls loudly in frustration. How was he missing? How is she suddenly so powerful? Everyone is wondering the same things as they gather around to watch the fight.

Dietrich gets an idea and catches Emilia off guard with a feint. He acts like he's going left but turns to right at the last moment. Emilia goes to dodge but ends up falling right into his trap, entangling in his arms. She growls and tries to squirm away but Dietrich wasn't letting up. He spins Emilia around and pins her arms behind her back. "How about now? What do you feel?" He asks with amusement. "Hatred and anger." She lies through her teeth. The sparks of electricity flowing through her body at every skin contact was slowly driving her crazy. She wasn't about to tell him that though.

Emilia goes in for a donkey kick but Dietrich pushes her away and makes her miss. She was free from his grip though, exactly as she had planned. She tries to punch him in the jaw but he leans back and makes her miss again. Now that he knows her true strength, Dietrich isn't willing to let her land any hits. His eyes light up with a new idea to make her admit her feelings. As Emilia goes in for another kick, he grabs her leg and makes her fall onto the ground.

Dietrich pins Emilia under his weight and gets his face as close as possible to hers, paying no mind to the various whistles from his soldiers in the background. "So? Still say you feel nothing even in this position?" He asks as he stares into her eyes in search of hints about her feelings. "Oh yeah. I feel something." She says. Dietrich brightens up, "Really?" He asks. Emilia nods in response and lifts her knee up as fast and hard as she can. Dietrich winces and falls to the side in a cradled position, his balls hurting like crazy. "Guess I win." She says victoriously as she walks away.
