aftermath, set free, learn, return
after I regained consciousness me and my squad kept hunting the goblin army eventually they became so scarce it took half an hour to find one so we returned to camp the camp was filled with injured soldiers and among them was Luke excusing myself I rushed towards Luke and started feeling his body at least eight Broken ribs plus compound fractures all throughout his body cuts and larges slashes that haven't stopped bleeding and lots of bruises.
"Hey kai what are you doing? like I'm not opposed to you making advances but maybe now isn't the time?"
"shut up you stupid idiot and stay still!"
I didn't want to use this but if he wasn't healed now he could have long lasting damage or straight up die so I readied myself and used my sacrificial healing I could feel his bruises transfering to me then his small cuts that started getting bigger then I felt and heard my bones cracking and fracturing and my lungs filling with blood that I proceeded to cough up but this led to a outcome I would later try to avoid.
"HEY! THIS GUY IS A HEALER!"
'fuck!'
they all came to me begging me to save them all and I could feel my curse gripping my heart whenever I thought of refusing and so the next two hours were complete torture of healing and then getting horrendous injuries now I wonder how bad my curse actually is in this world.

I just barely regained consciousness a few moments ago and kai came running up to me looking healthy as ether then out of nowhere started running his hands along my body after a few seconds I brought myself to speak.
"Hey kai what are you doing? like I'm not opposed to you making advances but maybe now isn't the time?"
he then told me to shut up and stay still he aimed his hands at me and closed his eyes it took a while for me to notice but my bruises had gone and my cuts were healing looking back at kai I could see him bleeding it was especially painful to see the gash on my arm slowly transfer to him then a even more disturbing thing happened I felt my bones healing but I will never forget the sounds of crackling and popping I heard from his body feeling completely healed I was about to say something but a guy yelled out that kai was a healer and people came flocking to him and he healed them all from the smallest cut to missing limbs he never refused that is when I realised how good kai was.

after my excruciating two hours everyone in my vicinity was at no risk of dying and I had some idle chatter with Luke then everyone was called to the area Infront of the gym on the way there people started to notice how there was no semi transparent barrier around the academic district either way once we made it Jase moanoa and Taylor volt were on the recently built platform then Jase started to speak.
"we have killed all the goblins and now we have passed the second tutorial once the sun sets we will be free I will stay here with anyone wishing to stay but anyone who wants to go may do so but you will have exactly a month if you do not return by then you will not be part of our settlement that is all"
whispering and murmurs spread throughout the camp but when I looked around I realised that we have a lot of people left already I guess I will go looking for my parents then come back.
it took around two hours to get to my house and as I expected it was in a horrible shape along the way I bumped into a few barriers probably with people still fighting monsters but my house was just wrecked it was originally a pristine three story house with a fence around the perimeter but now the windows looked shattered I could see Minotaur and security guard corpses most of whom I knew by name after walking around the house I made it to the study and there he was my farther suprisingly I saw a little over a dozen Minotaur bodies laying around him.
'what the fuck kind of ability did you awaken?'
his face was smiling while he had a Minotaur axe in his side and there was a letter next to him it read.

tears started streaming down my face and I felt sad but also guilty at the happiness I am feeling thinking about the hidden powers within the book without another thought I opened the the the safe and started to read the book.
after a few tales of elves and my family it started talking about fighting styles for staffs and daggers from which I actually learnt quite a few things then finally it came to magic it said that there was no magic left from the creation in the air so elves magic spells rely on the magic inside of their bodies.
it detailed four spells body reinforcement which used magic to strengthen one's body, barrier the ability to make shields of energy, spell creation a spell that made new spells but with a high cost, and lastly a spell called origin which is only possible when there is magic in the atmosphere and the caster has had what they are calling a high stage breakthrough it strengthens a chosen bloodline and even spreads a race.
the spells other than the first two were pretty useless right now but the book was extremely helpful the fighting techniques strengthened my combat ability and learning how to sense and move the magic inside my body allowing me to cast spells which I know will be extremely useful.
saying a little prayer for my father I move on to the battlefield of the whole goblin battle on the way o decided to check my status.

omg why did I get another painful ability? I'm not a masochist either, and I still don't understand what the hell endurance does.
after around two hours I made it to the battlefield I don't know why this became my hobby I started finding some of the students bodies most of them had IDs on them while I had to search for some of their faces on student attendance sheets that I had Taylor copy some for me before I know that I'm missing a few but I'm only one person eventually I stopped finding new bodies I decided to head to my grave yard just outside of camp.
it didn't take too long to get there after a while I stopped making graves and instead just wrote everyone in my note book instead and I had a pretty good idea that would let me practice my new ability.
"HEY KAI YOU'RE BACK!? you were only gone a few hours?"
walking up to me was Jase moanoa it was actually one of the few times I got to look more closely at him he had black hair and deep blue eyes he was around 6'1ft tall and an athletic build he looked like he was mixed between middle kingdom (Chinese) and jallow (Hispanic) two word description? elegant handsome.
"yeah I just needed to check whether my dad was alive"
he read between my lines and started speaking.
"oh I'm sorry to hear that and by the way do you know who built the graveyard?"
taken aback I decided to tell him the truth.
"actually I made it though it is missing quite a lot of names I have most of them in my note book"
he looked rather shocked at my statement but visibly regained composure and spoke.
"it is good work infact now I know that you did this I promise you a nobility rank once an appropriate one is available"
filling with glee I started speaking.
"really? thank you so much though I don't necessarily want anything I swear my loyalty to you."
nodding he asked a rather unique question.
"so kai in the future what is the role you want to have?"
thinking for a moment I thought of a few roles I would like and simplified them.
"I want a job were I can be useful I like tending to different people I don't want to be a healer or fighter though I can do both I mostly want to nurture people, protect them, and I also like the idea of learning about medicine even though we have healing we shouldn't forget what we already know."
it was the truth though I wasn't no saint because without my curse I would very happily through people under the bus but I did like teaching and protecting people and I did want to attend the medical academy before I stopped thinking noticing Jase was about to speak.
"hmm though I can't think of anything right now I will give you a job I think is suitable anyway I need to head back to the gym feel free to come in by the way I mean you are part of my settlement now that you're back"
with that he started walking away and I started thinking of how to make my special project.
