Chapter 3 Sector 13
Jason reads the reports files from last night's incident it reads 13 dead three are in the hospital for injuries and five are being treated for infection with Jason's blood and will be returned to their families soon.
"How did those kids get infected" Samantha says as she is reading the report over Jason's shoulder "they think it came from the punch or someone was feed something lab reports will tell us when it comes back with the tests."
Jason rubs his eyes "I'm just...the girls are okay how's Anna?" Samantha sighs "she's still sleeping so is Grace I'm worried about them Jason."
Jason grabs his wife's hand "they'll be fine the girls are strong we just need to give them time" Jason's radio turn on "hey Jason we need someone to go to sector 13 we've go a disturbance there grab a partner for this one."
Jason sighs "I don't think I would go back there but okay" he stands up and Samantha nods "I'll join you I think need the distraction right now" Jason nods and they get their gear.
A few minutes go by as they stand by a large circular door that is on the left side of the bunker that is a few hours out of town there are multiple same doors that goes from sector 1 to sector 20 sector 13 however is a sector that is extremely huge that it took four months to map out as others where either a tunnel that lead to another bunker which no one has been able to open the other side of or just some tunnels like sector 13 but smaller.
Jason hears the loud sound of the doors clunk open with the large circular door rotating into the wall showing a black abyss Infront of them Samantha walks in "oh I hate the dark" Jason follows her in he clicks on his flash light dust fills the air they wear gasmasks as most sectors don't have a proper filter system and dust and sometimes radiation stays in there Jason looks at his geiger counter is slightly ticking "not much radiation come on let's go careful where you step."
With flashlights in hand they move through the tunnels Samantha sees mostly nothing but dust and some electronics until they have a forked path Samantha walks left and as they do her flashlight shines on the tunnel a bunch of undead are huddled together.
Jason pulls Samantha back a low growling noise is heard and then nothing Jason sighs "well that is not good he peeks his head over the corner to see the huddled undead he's never seen them do this Jason slightly shines the flashlight at their feet showing large black line with a pale pigment Jason shakes his head "I thought no undead could get inside we need to tell HQ."
Grace lays on a large beanbag chair she is on her phone reading the news about the incident she hears a knock on the door "it's open" Anna walks in her room Anna's eyes are blood shot from crying and her nose is read.
Grace sighs "hey you okay sis" Anna shakes her head "I thought I was gonna die last night you know" Grace gets up and goes to her sister she sits next to her Anna puts her head on her sisters shoulder "I'm exhausted the only thing I can see is that undead on top of me."
Grace nods she's about to comfort her sister but someone rings their door bell Grace groans "can we be left alone for one day" Anna and Grace walk down stairs to the front door Grace opens up and sees Blake and Matthew are there with Andrew and Bonnie behind them.
Blake carries a black duffle bag "oh hi...guys what are you doing here?" Blake smiles which gives Grace her butterflies in her stomach "you guys free today?" Grace looks at Anna who nods "yeah why is that?."
"We're going to a sector want to come" Anna grabs her sisters arm shaking her head Grace sighs "come on what could go wrong" Matthew nods "we'll be fine Anna it'll be fun" Anna looks at the group "oh I hate peer pressure."
The group gets to the sector with two large red numbers on them 13 Grace wears a gasmask and a black uniform the others wear the same Blake pushes a few buttons on the terminal that opens the door.
They walk in Anna walks next to Grace "we're in so much trouble I can't believe I followed you" the group moves through the tunnel as they get to a forked path Blake uses his flashlight to look at each path and he shines on a pile of corpse's with all but one have one single hole on their fore head.
"Huh someone done a number on these guys" Grace see's a small blood trail that leads to the right path "let's follow this" Anna see's two pairs of boot prints "one of them is wounded the other is carrying them."
Matthew stands next to her "how do you know this Anna?" Grace chuckles "Dad showed us how to track and how to use a gun and knife."
Blake whistles "damn and I thought my dad was crazy" Grace and Anna giggle together they follow the blood trail as they continue they get to a large circular room with a bunch of wooden boxes they see two people in black clothes with gasmasks.
A woman sits on a table with a very large gash down her arm and a man is bandaging her arm "that was risky trying to take on three you should know better" the woman looks away "your lucky your fast healing will help you here."
The woman nods Grace moves closer and knocks over a bucket the two people pulled out their guns "who's there come out now" Grace stands up her hands up with everyone following her.
"Grace? what are you doing here young lady" Grace see's that these people are her parents "oh crap" Jason sighs "you two are grounded big time" Anna shakes her head.
Jason grabs his radio "HQ we're heading back found some teenagers down here" Jason leads the group while giving the two girls a lecture from Samantha Jason then stops the group he goes to the terminal he taps his passcode in and it beeps out a red light telling him it's a wrong passcode.
"Huh that's my passcode why isn't it working" Grace walks over doing hers it beeps red "what the hell?" Jason turns to the teenagers "this isn't good."
