The Encounter (Part 2)

Here I am, sitting in a restaurant talking to Raymond Reddington and Kaplan. I didn't imagine that when I returned to the city that was once my home, I would find these people, the mysteries of life, you know.

The weirdest part is, Raymond Reddington, he doesn't look anything like the arrogant, mysterious guy who is the number one fugitive on the FBI's wanted list, he looks more like a middle-aged uncle. This must be what the pros call getting into character.

Here I am, sitting at a restaurant table, talking about wine, food, travel, and, interestingly, women.

For those who don't know him, this guy sitting in front of me is a womanizer, the craziest thing is that women have no resistance to him, even the waitress flirted with him in front of me, handed over his cell phone, and walked away twisting her waist like a snake, I even thought she was going to break her back.

"So Alex, tell me more about your company and your projects and plans and stuff. I firmly believe that technology is going to dominate and revolutionize humanity soon," says Raymond Reddington.

"You see, this company is called Skynet, I founded it with a base product, which was a very advanced circuit board, I soon dominated the market. Using that product as a base, I expanded my research and we are currently dealing with a motherboard, integrated circuits, processors, the last one is in the testing phase and the first one is about to be released, I'm just waiting for us to close a deal with Apple. All this in just three years." I say proudly.

"Today's young people are always outperforming their elders. Look, Ray, this boy is only twenty years old and he's already doing well in his career! Times are different!" says Mrs. Kaplan, happy for my success.

"Kate, this kid is a very rare find. Cool Alex, but you're not telling me everything, I know a little about the Skynet company, everyone in the investment business knows that who doesn't, has heard of it. Company founded by an unknown entrepreneur, with a young, recently graduated CEO, the company is quite unusual, being one of the only, if not the only, without investors and public capital. Says Raymond Reddington in surprise.

" Yes. I did some business here and there, along with my grandmother's inheritance, created some projects, sold the patents, accumulated capital, and opened the company after detailed planning, surprisingly the company did not experience difficulties, and had its way clean and smooth so far." I say honestly. It's a surprise to have this conversation with Raymond Reddington, this guy knows how to hide, the more I talk to him the more I realize the difference between our abilities.

"Alex my boy, your company has had no problems simply because you have no competition, your company dominates a whole new market, old companies are concerned with creating complete computers, while your company focuses on a few parts, and those parts improve the performance of computers on the market, helping consumers save money. Instead of buying new computers after the old ones have become obsolete and spending a fortune, it is much better to buy your parts and upgrade your computer. Companies that sell computers are losing a lot of money, you stole a huge share of the market without even getting into the same business as them, just brilliant!" Raymond Reddington says impressed with my development.

"He he he... You praise me, I didn't even think like that when I founded the company, I only bought a computer when I was a child, because my father didn't want to spend a lot on things that were considered useless, he bought a used computer, outdated and very old, its performance was terrible, so I thought that if I studied I could do better, I bought scientific magazines and read all the articles, old and new about computers, then I thought I understood enough I went to the dump, looked for car parts and wires, opened my computer and made changes to it.

A few years later, I created my first circuit board, which improved the computer's performance, followed by the other parts." I say, recounting my thoughts from the past.

"That's very innovative, that's how new ideas come about, Einstein had similar ideas. His innovative thoughts revolutionized the computer market as we know it!" says Kaplan

"It's true Kate, this kid's thoughts are great, he's got a good head above his neck."

"Changing the subject Ray, what do you do for a living besides using your money to invest in promising companies?"

"I am an ex-military man, now I work with sales, import, and export, and I am expanding my network of influence, who knows, maybe one day I will be able to import and export all over the world."

"This is a dream you have there, I think you can fulfill it, but this is a well-developed branch, but I think that with the arrival of technology, this branch will innovate, if everything goes well, you will be at the top, I know that you are a man of vision!" Honestly, I know that Raymond Reddington's criminal empire will soon span the entire world.

"Thanks, Alex, I didn't know you were so considerate of me, it doesn't even feel like we just met," says Raymond Reddington genuinely surprised by my assessment.

Kaplan is surprised and says: "Ray, this kid has vision, you were very lucky to find such a good seedling, my dear Alex, with your vision your career will be a success no matter where you go!"

"You compliment me, it was my luck to meet you, Ms. Kaplan is truly a sweetheart!" I say to Kaplan, who smiles sweetly at the audience.

"Hahahahahahaha kate, I haven't seen you smile like that in years, you look so cute!"

"Shut up Ray! you don't know anything, he reminds me of Marsha, that's all!" Kaplan says with worried eyes.

I feel the different weather, I pretended to look at the time and say. "I loved meeting you, but people are waiting for me, today is my little brother's birthday, and we are hunting, I came here to buy extra ammo and the ingredients for dinner, I ended up meeting you, and I lost track of time, they must be worried. I'll be on my way, thanks for the company!" I say getting up to leave.

"Ah... Sorry to take up so much of your time, I know I might be being impolite to ask this question, but can I join you? I haven't hunted in years! the last time was in Africa, with the tribe of Zimbabwe, we used darts to hunt lions, a real adventure, so I'll tell you in detail about my endeavor!" Raymond Reddington appeared, presenting his famous stories.

"Really?!! Are you a hunter? If you're interested, you can accompany us, but Ms. Kaplan, doesn't she mind?" I spoke with caution

"Of course, not honey, I can accompany you without any problems, by the way, I'm great at dealing with bodies!" Kaplan says with a sweet smile.

She makes every hair on my body stand on end when I think about what bodies she's good at dealing with. "That's interesting, do you have experience hunting Ms. Kaplan?"

"Not really..." Kaplan says honestly.

"Hahaha... She has no hunting experience, but as I said at the market, she is always by my side and takes care of things for me, so when I hunt, she cleans the animal for me!" Says Raymond explaining Kate's gaffe.

"Oh, I thought Kate was some sort of secret assassin who gets rid of bodies to leave no trace of her crimes! I already bought something to eat, along with the meats, nobody here is wild, let's eat spiced meat!" I commented making jokes.

"Hahahahah... Alright, son, I'll see you there later, I'll prepare things, you just need to give me the address of the place!" says Raymond normally, as if what I said was a joke.

"See you later Ms. Kaplan, Ray!" I say goodbye and head to the gun shop, then head to our hunting camp...
