90 T. Solotov part 4

Kruger PVs

I looked at our father's smile and then at young Bob Lee, I took my eyes off the picture and looked at the current Bob Lee and said. "You have to promise me not to get into this mess, I just decided to tell you the truth to get you out of all this shit.

They're trying to drag you into my world and I can't let that happen, after all, I made a promise to Dad!"

Bob Lee is scared and asks. "What do you mean, where are they trying to drag me?"

I looked at confused and scared Bob Lee and I remembered the last conversation I had with our father, they are so similar, I think this is how the father would behave if he hadn't made so many mistakes and felt so guilty. "Before we get to the present, we have to go back a little bit, more specifically in 1991."

Bob Lee gets agitated and says. "you said they murdered our father, but how?"

I looked at Bob Lee, who became a Sniper, the same profession that killed our father, and started to tell the truth behind Earl Swagger's death. "How do you kill someone in the middle of a firefight and get away with it?

It's clear that whoever killed our father was a sniper, using a sniper rifle over half a mile away."

Bob Lee is stunned by the information he has received and asks. "You're telling me that a Sniper murdered our father, why would anyone order the death of a small county sheriff?"

I looked at Bob like he was an idiot and said. "Wake up Bob Lee! Our father was killed by a Sniper.

And it wasn't just any death, they ordered our father's death to be as discreet as possible so he wouldn't notice until it was too late, and it worked."

Bob is confused and says. "Explain this to me brother, what mess our father got into and why he was killed, after that, you say who and how."

I sat in the chair, lit my cigarette, and said. "Alright Bob, pay close attention, if you have any questions feel free to ask.

You know our father was in the army, right?"

Bob is expressionless and says. "Yes, he fought in Vietnam twice and in several other places."

I nodded twice in agreement and said. "But you're in the army now, have you ever noticed that superiors don't care if you tell your family where in the world you are and what you're doing?"

Bob starts to feel weird and says. "Well that's natural, we send letters and all, where are you going?"

My senses have already detected an idiot, and I said. "Use your head, Bob Lee! If you who are in the army can say these things, why did our father always hide from us?

After his father came back from the Vietnam war with a bad knee, he was always busy, and his missions were secret he didn't even communicate with his family, and we never knew when he would come back or if he would be alive.

Things only got worse after he retired in 1986, he was always nervous, stressed, tired, guilty and always teaching us those things about a good man can do bad things too."

Bob is shocked, as he knows that everything I said was true, but their father was an alcoholic, so he doubts if this is even possible. "Oh my God... How I never noticed that!

He was hiding something, they sure had a problem!"

Finally, I can relax a little, what a difficult situation this Bob Lee puts me in. "Yes, and the problem was not small.

Bob, our father only served in the army until he hurt his leg, he was recruited by a guy named Coach to be a member of the Phoenix squad, where he would command a Special Missions Unit, which murdered several high-value targets, who were against the United States or had something they wanted.

Or so it was supposed to be, in reality, he was working for a secret organization, the Phoenix squad was doing missions for a secret organization, under the guise of members of a regular army squad, there was a death squad that was killing various crime lords and traffickers, after that, this secret organization sent its trusty men to take their drug-arms-trafficking routes among other things.

But over time, not only drug dealers were killed, but several different targets, depending on who paid more, the Phoenix Squadron would kill anyone, whether inside or outside the country, in the end, those responsible for the Phoenix Squadron got the support of several politicians and military to open a clandestine service."

Bob is shocked and says. "Wait! Are you saying that our father, Earl Swagger, was a mercenary who helped the country set up a trafficking ring?"

I look at this brother of mine and feel my IQ dropping considerably. "No! Our father was from Phoenix Squadron but he didn't know who the people were that they killed, for them, it was just a mission, the only one who cared about the targets was our father and when he learned the identity of some of the people killed and what his squad did was not for the country, he got a bad conscience and ended up leaving the squad and going home.

At the end of the Cold War this squad dispersed and created the Clandestine Secret Service, all members of the Phoenix Squadron are the founding members of the CIA, and the trainer was the country's first Clandestine Service chief. Did you understand?

Bob is silent, absorbing all the information and his anger starts to show. "So you're saying that our father was discharged from the army due to disability and was recruited by this trainer.

After returning to active duty, he led an elite squad to fulfill questionable and outlaw missions, that if it went public the soldiers would be executed for the greatest treason, and through it all, he discovered the truth and left.

But as he knew too much, he was executed how to tie up loose ends?"

I didn't notice his anger or irony in his words and I was impressed by his level of intelligence, I almost thought he was an idiot. "You're almost right.

Our father wasn't that good, he always knew what they were doing was wrong, but it was for the country and the family, and he thought he was going to help win a war that we were losing, and losing a lot, so he accepted.

But somewhere along the way, our father discovered something terrible and decided to get out of there before it was too late, and he did.

But at some point in his life, his conscience weighed heavily, and what was once a blackmail file became evidence, evidence capable of clearing his conscience and bringing these corrupt ones to justice.

That's why he died!"

Bob gets more and more irate and says. "So you're implying that Earl Swagger, our father, was a mercenary disguised as a soldier?"

I was a little embarrassed and said. "Technically yes. Only the father and the other soldiers under the father's leadership didn't know, only the members of higher ranks than our father knew about it, our father and his men thought they were under the direct order of the president of the country.

But in reality, they were being used by a criminal organization that infiltrated the highest echelons of the American government and are there to this day."

Bob Lee's anger gets more visible by the second, and he gets mad at me, in the end, his anger turns to disappointment. "Are you seriously telling me that?

Do you want me to believe those bedtime stories?

A criminal organization infiltrated at the highest levels of the US government, Jura?

You had nothing better to come up with, and why would you want to tarnish our father's memories?

I know he wasn't the best dad in the world for you, but that's no excuse for you to hurt his memory!"

I was shocked that he didn't believe me and said. "Bob, you have to believe me!

You are in danger, they are planning to kill the president of the United States in 20 days, and they will need a scapegoat and they will try to use you, don't trust old army friends, and don't leave your family!

Bob gets nervous, his eyes turn red and he says. "Brother, get out of my house, you have no right!

I thought you were telling the truth, that something had happened to the father, but you're going crazy!

Conspiracy theories, false enlistment, and now they're going to kill the president?

All that's left to say is that the aliens are going to attack America!"

I saw that I couldn't talk to Bob in that state, so I made my last attempt and said. "Alexander Bell, captain of the elite unit 157 years from 1995 to 2000.

It was the year I enlisted and the year I died in combat, the same man who killed our father tried to kill me!

Look for Ray Brooks, he served as our father's top officer, and after his death in 1991 this man's career skyrocketed.

If you still have a little confidence in your older brother, look for information about these men, they have everything you need and if after that you feel that I am telling the truth, look for me at the hotel in town, I will stay there for a while.

Three days later, I'll be going home, there's a man who helped our father's murderer."

After passing on this information, I looked into the eyes of an emotionally shaken Bob Lee and he didn't dare look at me, for a long time he didn't say anything and just lowered his head and was quiet.

Seeing that I can no longer talk to him, I turn and walk away, reaching the door, I speak. "I hope you find a space in your heart for me, I would never say these things to you if you weren't in danger of your life.

I love you brother, and I hope just this once you can trust me!"
