Chapter 4

They woke up from the sound of someone frantically knocking on their door.

" Jack stay here, I will see who is knocking on the door."

She tidied up her clothing somewhat, then went to open the door.

As the door opened, there is a maid standing.

"What is so important that you interrupted our sleep, Eliza?" Alice asked softly but her tone showed that she is angry at her.

"Sorry to disturb you like this Miss Alice but it is very important."Eliza bowed to not offend her.

"Continue."

"Miss Alice, the Duke has returned."

Alice froze after hearing this news and looked like she will fall on the floor.

"Miss Alice, are you okay?" Eliza quickly supported her.

Eliza was serving this family since she was 15 Years old and she developed a very deep bond with Miss Alice.

She was very concerned about her, since the Duke has left for finding the cure for his Father.

"Where is he?" Alice asked and she looked like she will start to cry at anytime.

"Master Duke is in the Main ha.."

Before she could finish her words, Alice ran in the direction of where Master Duke is.

"What happened, sister Eliza." Hearing the commotion, Jack went and asked from Eliza.

Eliza looked at Jack and guided him to his bed.

" Don't worry little Jack, you will know soon enough. And go to sleep as it is still night."

Jack nodded but understood that something good has happened.

In the Main Hall,

"Welcome Home Leader." Elder Ronald said.

John nodded then as he was going to say something, someone opened the door of the hall.

He felt very happy and emotional, when he saw his wife Alice once again. She looked as pretty as he had last seen her.

Seeing that he cannot control his emotions, he gestured towards Elder Ronald.

Elder Ronald quickly understood that the Leader wanted some alone time with his family, so he went out with the other Elders.

As the Elder left, Alice ran and embraced John.

"You left me and your child for so long."

Alice slightly hit him in his chest as she cried.

"Sorry, my beautiful wife." John said as he hugged her more tightly.

"I missed you very much. Without you it was torture to live. If I didn't have Jack, I don't know what I would have done to myself."

She cried more and all the frustrations and sadness of these Years, poured out like a broken dam.

"I also missed you and once again sorry." John also slightly cried because he also didn't know if he will ever see his family again.

They stayed like that for sometime when Alice thought of something and said " Don't you want to see Jack? You have only seen him when he was 1 month old."

"Yes, I want to see my child but I am afraid that he will not recognise me as he was a baby when he first saw me."

John looked troubled about this, he was afraid that if his child will accept him as a father after so many years.

" Don't worry, he is a smart kid and much more mature for his age. I am sure that he will understand and accept you as a father after sometime." Alice reassured her husband.

"Oh, tell me more about him as we walk to his room." John asked as he was curious.

" Hmm for the first thing, don't lie to him as he can easily see through it and he is not very talkative."

Alice started to describe many of her Jackie's traits as they went in the direction of his room.

They arrived in front of his room after sometime.

"I will go first and talk to him."

Alice entered the room and saw that Jack was sleeping. She sat beside him and said " Jackie wake up, someone has come to meet you."

She smiled as Jack rubbed his eyes groggily.

" Who is it, Mother." Jack asked and was slightly curious about who would want to meet him.

" He will introduce himself, so listen to him patiently."

Jack nodded at her words and then the door opened as a handsome man with slightly dishevelled and dirty clothes entered the room.

The handsome man have long hair till his waist which he has tied with a band and he is very big, towering to the height of 6.5 feet with a robust body.

John was very nervous as he sat next to him on the bed.

"Hello, I am your father John, Jack. I know you don't remember me as I was outside for the time when you were born. I know it is very shocking to hear it like this but give me time so that I can prove that I am a good father. And I really missed you my child."

John said and hugged Jack as he was very happy to see his child once again. He also felt very sad that he couldn't see his kid growing.

Jack didn't say anything as he was hugged by the man because he remembered him from the last time.

" It's okay father."

John looked shocked at his wife as he didn't think that it will be this easy.

" I had told you don't be nervous and see our little Jack is so good and cute." Alice stated and once again pinched his cheeks.

"Ah mother, don't do this." Jack said annoyed.

They stayed like that for sometime when Alice asked "Did you get the Nine Coloured Flower?"

John nodded as he took out a small box from his clothes.

"It is inside this." He gave the box to his wife.

Jack was confused and said "What is it mother?"

Alice didn't open the box and stood up.

"Jack, let's go to your grandfather's room and this box has something which can cure him."

Jack stood up and went to his grandfathers room with his parents.

Jack had seen his grandfather once when he was playing and his mother had told him that his grandfather was injured very badly and went into a coma.

They arrived in the Grand Elders room and Jack saw his grandfather laying on the bed.

" Alice give the box to me."

John sat beside his father as he took the box from Alice.

Jack was very curious about what was inside the box.

As the box opened, the room was filled with many colours and inside it is a beautiful Flower with Nine Colours. It wasn't like it had Nine different colours petal but every petals of it have nine colours on it.

The colours on the petals are; White, Pink, Violet, Indigo, Blue, Green, Yellow, Orange and Red.

Jack and Alice were mesmerized by the flower as it was very beautiful.

John took out the flower, and put it inside his father's mouth. He moved his father's jaw with his hands because he was in coma. By moving his neck slightly, the flower was swallowed.

Nothing happened for sometime then his body started to glow with Nine different colours.

"Husband what is happening."

" Don't worry, the flower is taking effect right now." John reassured his wife.

For the next 30 minutes his body glowed like that, then it slowly started to dim.

After the light dimmed, his body shook slightly but he didn't wake up.

"Why didn't he wake up, after taking the flower." Alice asked concern showing on her face.

John started to check his father's pulse and body as his hands glowed a bluish colour.

John smiled as he said " It's alright, his injuries has already completely healed but he is still weak after being in coma for 3 years so it will take him some days to wake up.

After that they left to go Jack's room to sleep.

But Jack was completely shocked because today's events proved that this world has magic or some other superpowers.

He didn't disturb his parents today by asking but made a note in his mind that he will definitely ask after some days, when everything will be normal.
