Chapter 32: Revelations in the Dark Alley
After uttering those words, Isabella's gaze remained fixed on Elias.
In the pitch-black alley, the last traces of hazy moonlight gradually faded away, plunging the world into complete silence.
Elias smiled at Isabella and said, "So, what will the professor do next with me?"
Isabella looked at him, slightly puzzled, "Elias? What are you talking about? I don't understand what you mean, professor."
Elias shook his head, smiling wryly, "Professor, you really are a great actor, almost catching up to me."
This was a genuine compliment. Elias had honed his acting skills in life-or-death situations, and he joked that if he joined the entertainment industry, he might even win an Oscar.
His eyes, bright and piercing, stayed locked on Isabella's as he continued his analysis.
