-Miko-
"Miko fell in love at first sight?!" Hana shouted at the guy.
Her words made her snap out of it, and she quickly replied to her friend's nonsense. "What no!"
Definitely not, she didn't fall in love with that guy from another class, however, she was shocked by his acting, exorcising the ghost with a flick of his fingers!
Even Mrs. Mitsue and Romm can't do something like that!
W-who is this person?
How did he do that? I-is it possible to learn something like that? If so, she wanted to learn how to do something like that to protect herself and her friends from dangerous ghosts that she would encounter in the future!
He seems to be like her, who could see them.
If he's really the same as her, then he'd like to learn under him, this could possibly be her only chance of learning self-defense from the ghosts around!
"Then why are you staring at him intensely then?" Hana asked her.
'I did..?' She did, and she didn't even realize it herself, her gaze was burning right through him.
Realizing what she's doing, she couldn't help but blush. Of course, if she's looking intensely like that toward the boy, naturally, people would misunderstand her.
"O-oh, nothing Hana I-i thought he was someone familiar…" She lies through her teeth, this person wasn't familiar to her at all, however, she hopes that her friend buys her excuse.
"Really…? Oh well!"
Thank god, she believed her, then all of the sudden approached the guy and said.
"Hey there, Miko said you look familiar! Are you familiar with her too?" Her friend bluntly asked the guy.
Hana! What are you doing?!
Then her gaze shifts toward the guy, who scratches the back of his head. "Well, she looked familiar to me too."
He smiled, but not in a creepy way, just a normal smile.
'Eh? Did he lie or was he serious about me being familiar?" It was hard to tell, after all, she can't tell whether someone is lying or not.
"Oh, Miko, he says that you look familiar to him too!" Hana went back to her spot.
"Y-yeah, I heard…" Miko muttered.
Then the guy approached her and said. "Miko right? Tadano Hitohito, but you can call me Hito or just my family if you're uncomfortable with saying my name."
He introduced himself politely to her, she observed him for a bit and thought of him as an average Japanese teenager in every possible way.
But looks could be deceiving, she learned that firsthand, while he may look average he's someone who exorcised the ghost with a flick of his fingers.
Definitely not 'normal'.
"Yotsuya Miko…nice to meet you Tadano-san." She definitely wasn't comfortable calling him by his first name, yet because they just met, maybe it would change in the future.
"Same here Yotsuya-san." Tadano-san smiled.
"I'm Yurikawa Hana by the way, are you guys done because I'm really hungry right now!" Hana's stomach growled.
Her friend was hungry again, but it was understandable because she needed them to recharge her so-called life energy.
"You guys are going to the cafeteria I presume?" Tadano-san asked.
"Yes!" Hana answered without hesitation.
"Mind if I come along? I'm going there anyway."
"Sure! The more the merrier! Isn't that right Miko?" Hana asked her with a bright smile.
Her smile was contagious and couldn't help but smile a little herself. "Yeah."
"Then let's go, friends!" Hana already seemed to acknowledge Tadano-san as her friend already, even though they just literally met.
Either way, it's a good thing that he's with them because he could exorcise the ghosts that may approach them, especially Hana. After all, her life energy attracts ghosts.
–
On their way to the cafeteria, they saw a few ghosts, by 'they' she meant her and Tadano-san.
Hana can't see them at all. A few of the ghosts got attracted by Hana's life energy as usual, but this time she had a protector.
Before the ghost could even make a contract with Hana, Tadano-san flicked his fingers at them and immediately got exorcised.
With this she was sure, a single time might be a fluke, but a few times definitely wasn't, Tadano-san had a way of exorcising ghosts!
She needed to learn how to do that, she desperately needed it, with that ability she wouldn't be afraid to face the horrors that she sees day to day.
She already accepted her fate a while ago, because there's no way she wouldn't be able to unsee the ghost, that's why she should have the means to protect herself.
Finally, they arrived at the cafeteria, no matter where she goes, there's a ghost around, there's one on the counter and the table at the corner.
Miko shivered as they stared in her direction, she ignored their presence like they weren't there, to begin with.
With Hana going straight to the food section, the ghost's attention was now shifted to her friend.
Leaving her alone.
Unlike her, Hana attracts them like birds and worms, rabbits with carrots.
"So, you usually ignore them?"
Her attention shifts toward Tadano-san, normally she wouldn't admit it, even to fellow mediums, but Tadano-san was different; he had the means to protect her and himself.
"Y-yes…"
"What about exorcising them?" He asked.
"I-i would if I could..!" Miko almost shouted but luckily she managed to control her tone.
She definitely didn't want to attract the ghost or people's attention with her shouting.
"I see, if you have the means would you?"
What..? Is he trying to tell her something?
With questions like that, it's safe to assume that he's indirectly telling her that he's going to teach her the means to exorcise ghosts!
"Yes! Of course, I would!" Miko answered him as clearly as possible, if she could somehow learn the kind of thing that he did, her life would be a whole lot easier, wouldn't be in constant fear knowing that she couldn't do anything about the ghost around her and do things that she can't stop.
She felt powerless and wanted the power to defend herself.
Tadano-san appeared to be thinking.
"Yeah, I think I could help you with that."
Miko's eyes widened, so she really didn't assume anything wrong. He really did want to teach her how to exorcise ghosts herself!
Hearing such great news, Miko wanted to break down and cry, for the first time in months she finally found a solution to her primary problems.
"R-really…? You'll help me with..?"
"Yeah, killing those cursed creatures? Yes, but it's not going to be easy, you know, do you still want to do it?" Hito asked her seriously.
Seeing his serious expression, made her flinch for a bit, but didn't back out, as this may be her only chance of salvation.
"Yes." Miko was determined to learn exorcism, just so that she could live a life without fearing for her dear life.
Every single day.
"Alright then, but on one condition." He said.
"W-what is it..?" Miko was ready to hear his demands, she'll accept whatever demands he wants.
'E-even if I have to offer my virginity!' Thinking that, she couldn't help but turn red, what was she thinking?!
More like where did it come from anyway?!
"Promise me that you won't tell anyone that I taught you." He said.
"Eh..? T-that's it?" Miko blinked in surprise, she was ready to hear his expensive demands, but it seems that she was overthinking things.
And a bit disappointed.
'Wait, why am I disappointed?' She thought, then she suddenly discovered something about her that she doesn't even know.
'I have a kink to offer my body for payment…' That made her pale and disgusted with herself.
Mom, Dad your daughter is a degenerate.
"So, do you agree?" He asked.
"Y-yeah, I was planning not to tell anyone about it anyway." Miko indeed did think about not telling anyone about it.
"Good, we'll start tomorrow." Tadano-san-, no Tadano-sensei left and went to the cafeteria.
"O-okay.." Miko was dazed off for a moment before, following her now sensei.
Things happened so fast, but right now she couldn't care less, she found herself a person that could help her deal with the supernatural.

-Hito-
He didn't know why he suddenly offered to teach Yotsuya-san when he was a beginner himself, but he couldn't just ignore her situation.
Seeing that he had the means to help, he decided to take her under his wings.
Now, he was thinking about how to teach Miko magecraft, he knew some basics due to certain mastery over his spells.
He knew that Yotsuya-san had some magic circuits, her Mystic Eyes were the biggest giveaway.
She wouldn't have those if she didn't have magic circuits.
Her Mystic Eyes were in a constant passive state because she doesn't know how to control her prana, if he could teach her that not only would she have the means to kill those cursed creatures but also stop her Mystic Eyes from being passive making her unable to see those things.
Her eyes were kind of similar to his though, now that he thought about it.
—
Yep, he became a teacher apparently, even though he just had his magecraft for a day, he wasn't exactly a normal beginner as buying his magecraft includes some mastery and information about other magecraft such as bounded field for example.
Though, he had no idea how to make them because it wasn't included in his pack.
He also doesn't know what a 'magus' or 'magi' is so he doesn't know about the rules about secrecy.
But who cares about that rule anyway, rules are meant to be broken.
