Triple Trouble

Upon arriving on Varidian City, Yui was stopped by a police woman that standing in front of the town entrance. "Please stop! Show me your Trainer Identification!" This is Officer Jenny the famous officer all around the Region with the same face and look like her siblings and cousins.

Yui stop in front her and show the Pokedex that she own. The Officer gaps at her unique Pokedex before checking her Trainer Identification in it.

"Thank you for your cooperation. There have been a Pokémon thieves accident around here that's why we check your Pokémon legality. You better be careful your Pokémon is rare. I suggest you keep them in their Pokeball."

Yui shook her head and smile at the Officer "Both Yin and Yang hate the Pokeball but thank you for the warning."

Officer Jenny look surprise before nodding "Oh, so that's why. I have heard about some of that case but never meet one until now. Well, have a good day and please be careful."

Yui let a thanks and a wave at Officer Jenny before entering the Pokémon Center. Inside the Pokémon Center Yui met Nurse Joy who like Officer Jenny.

"Nurse Joy please take care my Pokémon." Yui ask the nurse as she put Dia's and Tsubasa's Pokeballs in front her along with Yin and Yang who stand on the desk.

"Just a warning, I only recently caught the Dratini and Feebas. Both of them hurt badly after they run away from a Pokémon Hunter. So, they might overly caution at you." Said Yui with a sad face.

"Both of you be good and Yin please don't cause trouble." Yui warn Yin as he snicker but he then nod. "Don't worry Yui, I will keep this rascal on him place if he do mischief." Yang sudden telepathy make Nurse Joy jump surprise.

"Your Pokémon can do telepathy!" Nurse Joy state surprise. Yui look embarrassed before warn the nurse about her Pokémon especially Yin.

"Both Yin and Yang can do it but the ones in the Pokeballs can't. I'm going to buy ingredients for our journey so I'm going to be late. Nurse Joy please do be careful with Yin. He is a Dark type Pokémon who usually do mischief, so please be careful." Nurse Joy give Yui a nod while she stare suspiciously at the blue fox who have been snickering since Yui said his habit.

Yui then gone to Pokemart and bought many ingredients for her next journey and some potions. Yui never knew when she need them even if Yui can heal Pokémon herself. Her ability isn't unlimited she now can only heal several Pokémon a day before fainted.

"Ah! You!" Yui turn her gaze at the yelling sound in the entrance and she find Misty pointing her finger at Yui.

"Misty! What a surprise! How are you?" Yui smile as she approach her. Misty smile "I'm fine because of you, but I had to rest in this city for days. I'm glad I did, I want to say my thanks to you. So, what I can do to you?"

Yui immediately shake her and move her hand in front her. "No! no! no! You don't need to give me anything! I'm happy that you're fine. Ah! I have to get my Pokémon at Pokémon Center. See you later Misty!"

Yui run away from Misty because she never make others feel like that and she doesn't know how to face an accident like that so she ran away.

Arrive at the Pokémon Center in hurry making other people see her strangely. "Is there something Yui?" Nurse Joy ask Yui she is worried at her.

"I'm sorry it's nothing. Can I borrow the telephone?" Yui ask sheepishly. Nurse Joy giggle at her attitude "Of course you can. Oh! After you done with it you can pick up your Pokémon."

"Thanks Nurse Joy." Yui smile as she wave her hand at Nurse Joy. Yui then call her mother. "Ah, Yui how are you dear? Is everything fine?" Mana ask her daughter as her happy face is shown in the monitor.

"Everything is fine Mom. But..." Yui smile bofere she remember about Misty making her feel conflicted. Mana notice her daughter strange change she smile understanding.

"Tell me about it Yui. Let see if mother can help you." Yui explain her story about her meeting with Misty and her feeling. "I see..., *giggle* Yui you don't need to think hard about it. Try to remember and ride the flow. That is who you are."

Something inside Yui shine. Yui remember her past, her younger day, her live with her brother. Her brother is unlike her he is very reckless and to be blunt an idiot but Yui love him more than herself. He teach Yui to never hesitate.

Yui smile at her mother her eyes no longer hesitating "Thanks Mom, my head become more clearer. I will call you later." Mana give her a happy nod "Alright call me quite often. Mom already miss you." With that the call end.

"I guess, I should call Professor Oak too and to check if Yin and Yang already given a permit to enter the championship." Yui press Professor Oak's lab number and call it. "Hello is Professor Oak there, this is Yui talking?"

"Ah! Yui this is Professor Oak talking. But somehow I can't see your face where are you?" Professor Oak talk to Yui while his back facing her. Yui giggle "Professor your back is facing me."

"Oh! Sorry! So, where are you now Yui?" Professor Oak finally look at Yui. He doesn't change to much since Yui young. That's mean that he is very healthy.

"I'm at Varidian City." Yui answer him with smile.

"Ah, I see. Gary arrived at Varidian City some days ago. You know he bet me a million pokedolllars that you wouldn't catch any Pokémon before you arrive to Varidian City."

Yui frown at what Professor Oak "Professor Oak I'm disappointed at you. Pokémon isn't a topic for betting they are also a living being like us."

Professor Oak look ashamed "I'm sorry, Yui." Yui smile and give him a nod "As long you understand I'm fine. By the way, you win the bet I caught two Pokémon on my way here and that's not all. Look at this, I meet a Legendary Pokémon on my way here."

Yui show the Pokémon picture that she took and what Pokedex said about it. "Wow, you really met one." Yui smile happily as she show Professor Oak her new hair accessory. "See this feather! It is the Pokémon's feather! Beautiful right!" Professor Oak nod at Yui childish expression.

He really glad that Yui finally can enjoy her live, not stay and become the perfect tool that everyone searching but as a child she should be. Then a bell was heard at his lab.

"Oh, my pizza is coming and before I forget, The League has given their permit for legal participant for Yin and Yang. Well, call me later Yui." Professor Oak cut the video call. Yui giggle once again at his attitude he certainly not change that much.

After finishing the phone call Yui pick up her Pokémon and about to ask Nurse Joy for a room, when she saw Misty entering the Pokémon Center.

"Ah hi Misty. Sorry for leaving you like that. People never try to return a favor in my hometown so I don't know what to do with you." Yui apologize to Misty.

"So that's it. I thought that you hate me!" Yui become surprise and cut her "No! No! No! It's really not like that!" Misty look at Yui troubled face and she laugh.

"Ha..ha..ha.. I know! You already explain your reason to me. No need to be so troubled! Say how about you join me for dinner with that I won't feel anymore guilty." Yui give Misty a happy nod as the two girl go to the canteen and exchange their journey.

"I'm traveling to look at the many kind of Pokémon in the world. What about you Misty?" Yui ask Misty. "I'm also traveling, but my dream is to become a great Water Specialist!"

"That is a wonderful dream. You must like water Pokémon very much." Yui smile as Misty face lit up "You understand! To me water Pokémon is the best! What about you Yui what type do you like?" Misty ask.

"I love all Pokémon. I don't care what type they are. I love each of them. In my eyes all Pokémon is very special they have their own shine that different from each other. So I probably will become a Generalist " Misty smile at Yui answer as she thing that Yui really kind and caring.

Yui then stop day dreaming and remember something "Oh, wait a minute. If you love water Pokémon then why you so afraid with the Gyarados?"

Misty look a bit sad as she tell her story when she was young and almost eaten by a Gyarados. That make here afraid of a Gyarados until now. "I'm sorry to make you remember that?" Yui frown at her curiosity.

Misty smile again as she shake her head "No it's alright. Because of you I have a courage to face my fear. Someday I will raise a Gyarados myself."

Yui smile "Well, I'm glad I can help but please be careful. My mom usually said to not force yourself."

Misty smile at Yui and give her a thanks for the great talk. 'I wonder if she will allow me travel with her. Yui is really a good girl. She must be a great traveling companion.' Misty thought.

After dinner, both Yui and Misty got her Pokémon back from Nurse Joy. They about to rest in their rooms when smoke come out from nowhere.

*cough* *cough* "What's going on here?" Yui cough.

A woman, a man and a Meowth then come out from the smoke.

"Prepare for trouble," said the woman.

"Make it double," said the man.

"To protect the world from devastation,"

"To unite all people within our nation,"

"To denounce the evils of truth and love,"

"To extend our reach to the stars above,"

"Jessie," the woman introduce herself.

"James," the man introduce himself.

"Team Rocket blasting off at the speed of light,"

"Surrender now or prepare to fight,"

"Meowth that's right." Meowth said.

"Eh! a Meowth that could speak human language!" Yui gaps surprised at this event.

"Now that we introduce ourselves, hand us over all of the Pokémon and maybe we will leave in peace." Jessie demand Nurse Joy as she point her finger at her.

"You can't take these Pokémon! They're weak and injured!" Nurse Joy exclaimed. "Ah, who cares. Team Rocket will make batter use for them. Now hand them over!" James yell at the people.

"No, you won't!" The patient and caring Yui snapped. "I won't let let you take these Pokémon and let you use them like a tool! Yin! Yang! It's time for a battle!" Yui yell as Yin and Yang both stand protective in front of her.

"Count me in! Staryu, I choose you!" Misty throw a pokeball and a Pokémon that like a star with red jewel in the middle come out.

Yui take her Pokedex out and scan Staryu.

Staryu the Star Shape Pokémon,

At night, the middle of its body slowly flickers with the same rhythm as a human heartbeat. If its body is torn, it can grow back if the red core remains.

"So you want to fight huh! Then let us take your Pokémon to! Very well, Ekans!" Jessie sent out a purple snake Pokémon. "You to Koffing!" James sent out a purple ball Pokémon.

Ekans the Snake Pokémon,

A very common sight in grassland, etc. It flicks its tongue in and out to sense danger in its surroundings. It flutters the tip of its tongue to seek out the scent of prey, then swallows the prey whole.

Koffing the Poison Gas Pokémon,

Its thin, balloon-like body is inflated by horribly toxic gases. It reeks when it is nearby. Lighter-than-air gases in its body keep it aloft. The gases not only smell, they are also explosive.

"I see..." Yui look at what the Pokedex offer about the two Pokémon she fight. Misty who saw this attack first "Staryu use Water Gun!" Staryu sprouts a water soaking both Ekans and Koffing this make both of them mad.

"Ekans ignore the star! Bind that blue fox!" Ekans then move to bind Yin. Misty gaps in surprise and about to yell at Yui that her Pokémon is in danger. But Yin already know what to do without Yui's help.

Yin then cried in the middle of the battle making Ekans stop attacking because of pity. Yin secretly smile that his Fake Tear work. He then use Extrasensory at Ekans who guard is lowered by his trick. Yin then snicker as he watch Ekans body fly and hit Koffing. They is still too greenhorn to beat him and his brother Yang.

Both Ekans and Koffing fainted in a matter of second. "Both of you are useless! I will show you how true fight is! Eat this Fury Swipe!" Meowth shout an insult at them as he gone to attack Yang.

Yang don't look a bit of amusement at Meowth cruel word. He dodge each his slow swipe and then he use Counter damaging Meowth greatly as he a normal type. Meowth fly at Jessie and James hit them with his body.

"Misty let's finish this!" Yui said coldly as she absolutely hate people who don't respect a Pokémon. Misty in the battle tension didn't notice Yui character change. "Alright! Staryu Water Gun again!"

That water gun make all the Team Rocket piles like a human make mountain. "Yin sent them out from here!" Yui ordered Yin as he nod and launch a Thunderbolt making those thieves blasted them of out the Pokémon Center through the ceiling. "Team Rocket's blasting off!" The thieves shout but nobody pay intention to their yelling.

Hearing the explosion Officer Jenny rushed in "Is everyone alright!?" Officer Jenny ask Nurse Joy. "Everything is fine." Nurse Joy replied. She then point her finger at Yui and Misty. "These two save us."

Officer Jenny approach Yui and Misty "Would you two mind telling me what happened here?" Yui and Misty explain their encounter with team Rocket.

"You have to be careful with team Rocket. They have been causing trouble all over Kanto. Stealing Pokémon and doing the most evil things to get what they wanted." Yui frown from hearing this she is going to give them a piece of her mind if she ever met them again.

"We're sorry for the ceiling." Misty apologize at Nurse Joy. Nurse Joy immediately wash away her worry "Oh, you don't have to worried about it. What important is that the Pokémon here are safe and sound, besides that hole can easily be fixed. Now both of you can rest, tomorrow you have to continue your journey after all."

Yui and Misty nod agreeing with her, today Yui mood is very gloom because the the team Rocket. After Officer Jenny bid them farewell. Both Yui and Misty went to bed.

After a while trying to sleep but unable to do so, Yui get up from her bed slowly to not wake both Yin and Yang and decide to take a night stroll in the park near by. With a thin blanket on her shoulder she walk out the Pokémon Center and move to the park. She decide to sit on the bench that placed in front the fountain. The night sky is very clear this time, a peaceful sound of the night calm a bit of nervousness that she unconsciously hold.

But she only wearing a thin night clothes and also a thin blanket in middle of the night. Her body started to shivers from the cold wind. A thick black male coat suddenly fall upon her shoulder. Yui immediately look up and find an older man.

He's wearing a black office suit with a tie, but his presence screaming danger and intimidation. His Persian sharp claws and gaze doesn't help anyone feel less than tense near him. There is several frown line in his face that indicate that he rarely laugh. Right now he stared at Yui with a stern disapproval but look more like glaring her to death.

In conclusion he's not someone you want to mess around with and has to be approach with caution.

Thought oddly she has this feeling, that this dangerous person won't hurt her. She felt very calm near this man like he is the very foundation of her protection. She never met him before yet she can feel some familiarity with this stranger. Yes, he felt like home. Her only sanctuary and shelter from all the thing that could hurt her.

"What are you doing in this cold night with such thin clothing? Are you to stupid to realize how dangerous for a young girl like you being alone in a place like this!? Are you listening!?" His voice getting smaller and somehow Yui gaze became unfocused.

Her entire body felt so heavy and hot despite the cold wind. Yui then feel a big hand on her forehead, her wavering gaze focused back on the man face that somehow getting very close to her. She think that how odd as she rarely able to allow other person touch her like this without triggering her trauma from the Accident. The familiarity become more apparent as she feel the cold from his wide hand and his blurry worried face. From her deepest memory the same hand have also touch her gently like this. With that Yui came to realisation this man in front her might be her "Father..." And Yui then fell unconscious.

Giovanni just finished with his business today a bit late than the usual because the mess those three idiots had cause in his territory. His mood is very bad because of that.

On his night stroll towards his gym he saw a lone girl with very thin clothing sitting on the park that he happen to pass by. He usually don't care if a child freeze to death because her stupidity but something stop him from ignoring this. That uncomfortable feeling make him move towards the stupid girl on whim.

He walk casually towards the child but she didn't even notice him approaching. When he already standing near her and notices that the girl doesn't seem to have register her surrounding or the shivers that her own body felt. With a sigh he took of his coat and put it on her shoulder.

Initially he feel indifferent for this child fate as he just did a good thing for a whim but that immediately change when he saw her familiar face that he wanted to forget but unable to. It is his daughter face. He immidietly lecture her but she only look at himself in daze along with red face. He notice this strangeness and put his palm on her forehead to check her temperature and concluded that she have been ill yet still dare going outside at night wearing such a thin clothing.

Immediately after that he heard her recognize him as her father even they haven't met after he divorce his wife and family for their own protection from his enemies. She fall unconscious on him, trusting him that should be a stranger for her. He pick her up and took her back to her logging silently. After forcing her to take some medicine, he left without another word, but he seems to be happier that his daughter still recognize him and rely on him when she is weak.

In the morning both of them ready for continuing their journey. "Hey Yui, do you mind if I travel with you on your journey?" Misty ask Yui.

Yui smile and shake her head "I don't mind. A company can make this journey more fun. Also, I feels like seeing a very warm dream just now."

Misty look confused "What do you mean by that?" Yui just smile and shrug her question "Its nothing. Let's go." So that arranged. Both of them start a journey together they start it by passing through the Varidian Forest.
