The Birth of a Demon Lord

Labels affect people's lives in any world. As it turns out, being a demon brings a bunch of dangers. After his reincarnation the idea of being a demon didn't really bother Azemo, instead the reality of magic and fantasy occupied his thoughts. Gaining more power or a new technique was more important than learning about the war between demons, humans and beasts. Also he was reborn with modern day villains so being a demon was the least of his worries. At first it was like he was back at school, a school filled with violence and death but he was still learning stuff. However Azemo would be forced to learn about the gravity of being a demon when he ventured from the demon stronghold. Azemo did not have any grand goals or ideas but the world has a way of forcing troubles and tribulations upon beings.

Feeling Good

Walking in the open fields with a soft breeze lessening the effects of the bright sun did nothing to dissuade mine and Jesen's excitement. We were off on another quest and my injuries were just scars which did not give me any doubts.

Of course we had taken the mission, there was no way we were going to deny Indicote's request. However, when I offered to give up my share of the rewards as payment for my treatment, I learned that my friends had already covered the expenses.

The village did not use traditional money, but my friends had hunted down some more lycines to pay back the villagers. The monsters were a constant bother for the small town and the nimbleness of the monster's often negated the wooden fence.

During their hunts, my friends had all leveled up and Jesen could not help but brag about all of their sudden advancements.
