Chapter 62: Losing My Mind, Part 2

When the final person entered the room, Tristan understood why he felt the need to stand. Only, her presence seemed to weigh the entire room down. The woman was mature, with the beauty and grace of someone of importance. She wore a tailored suit with high heels, and her hair was also pinned up in a bun.

There was something slightly familiar about her as she walked by without giving him a glance. Each of the three carried themselves with a hint of authority, but the woman had an air of royalty. She chose to sit in the chair instead of sitting on the sofa or loveseat, while the youthful teen stood to her left and the young man to her right.

Tristan stood until the woman took a seat then he sat on the sofa. Instead of taking a seat on the empty loveseat, Joseph sat next to Tristan. Doing so effectively separated Tristan from the strangers and he suspected that was Joseph's intent.
