CHAPTER: KELLY

zephyra sat crossed- legged on the hospital bed, eyes closed ,breathing deeply, she had spent 3 centuries in another world , honing her skills and surviving the impossible. though she had been back on earth for only a few days,the wisdom and strenght,she had gained over those centuries were still with her. but she still felt worried because her spiritual pet had not been responding ,she had tried summoning it and connecting to it but it was to no avail. 

 she was worried that her suspicions might be true, 'could it be that she didn't come to this world with her, that shouldn't be possible right? after all they have a soul contract, their souls are bounded together'.

 she couldn't go on like this , she need to find a way to unlock her powers and fast, the first thing she needed to do was get out of this hospital, she pressed the button by the side of the bed and a nurse came to attend to her quickly.

 " when can i leave the hospital" she asked the nurse

 "well, we've taking some tests on you and your body seems to be in optimum condition, though we still have to wait and observe you for a while to make sure that you are truly healed and recuperated", the nurse said while flashing her a warm smile.

 "and how long do you persume that would take" she asked as she didn't like staying in the hospital and doing nothing.

 "that would probably take about 1 or 2 weeks " 

 Her brows furrowed as she lowered her head in contemplation, this was very inconvinient for her as she didn't have the time to be wasting in the hospital, she new her body was completely fine even though it had been imobile for 3 years, she was a celestial cultivator and even though ninety percent of her powers were sealed she still has abnormal physical strenght and body.

 "do you need anything else "

 " no thank you i'll press the button if i need your help " 

 "oky then i'll take my leave "

 she watched as the nurse left and started thinking, she could just leave the hospital or jump off the window but that might draw her too much attention as she intended to be lowkey till she understood what was going on.

 Without wasting any time after she made her decision she went to the window and looked down, she cursed as she realised that she was 26 floors above ground that was 260 feet from the ground ,if she was at her peak strenght even 500 feet would have been nothing for her coz she could fly but now that she barely had her powers asking her to do this was akin to asking her to commit sucide.

 so the next possible action was to change out of the hospital gown to normal clothes but where would she find one, she was just contemplating about this when the door of her ward burst open.

 she wondered if it was her so called family who was here for round too,and she would be glad to entertain them,but instead of her family it was someone unexpected instead.

 "zephyyyyy!!! ohhh i missed you so much .. sob...sob"

 loud wails filled the once silent room as a dark shadow came pouncing on her, she and the dark shadow went falling on the bed as she had not expected the sudden attack.

 "zephy you dont know how much i missed you these years , i thought i would not live to see tomorrow with how much my heart longs for you"

 "urghh sstop that ,you're creeping me out with the nonsense you're spouting" she said as he realised the dark shadow was her best friend kelly .

 "how can you say that , you've shattered my frail heart, unreciprocated love is the mournful echo of whispered confessions".

 "shut up ,if someone who didn't know you saw you they wouldn't belive that you never got higher than a c in college literature" though her voice sounded harsh there was still a smile on the edge of her lips .

 "how could you say that, you just called me dumb " kelly said as she pouted , she couldn't help letting out a light hearted laugh ,she couldn't remember the last time she had laughed so freely ,but she guessed her bestfriend's appearance had solved her problem of leaving the hospital
