Although James had been trying to avoid me throughout the entire day, he still managed to show up in the evening while I was hanging out alone in the living room. Although I had no idea why he suddenly showed up now. Since he hadn't come over earlier or even said goodbye when I left. All I knew was that he suddenly appeared out of nowhere like always while I was reading on the couch. He was standing awkwardly by the entryway though, and he had a grim expression on his face as he watched me silently.

So I turned towards the door and scowled suspiciously at James as I snapped, "What the hell do you want?"

James hesitated for a second before answering, "Can we talk?"

"About what?" I asked irritably.

"Nothing important..." James grumbled. "Just... Just try to be civil, okay?"

I scowled unhappily but remained seated on the couch as I answered, "Fine."
