"Tommy, what's wrong?." I heard Kaya ask me.
I turned to her, concern was etched into her face. I smiled trying to melt her worry but Kaya knew me like the back of her hand.
I exhaled, feeling that I had been holding my breath for too long.
"It's school." I told her lying.
"What about school?." She asked me, relief washed through me as she didn't catch me in my little white lie.
I searched for what to tell her but there was nothing, the school was great, everything was perfect.
My shoulders slumped in defeat.
"It's Gabby." I said feeling the throbbing in my chest, Lycan had taught me the difference between energy shift in the heart and a heart throb that lets you know when any of your family members or loved ones are in trouble.
It felt like choas, as if I was drowning, I could hear Gabby's name at the back of my mind.
"What about her?." Kaya asked moving closer to me.
