Emma bit her lower lip afraid that Damian would be more angry with her if she said anything now. They didn't know that the reason he strangled her was because she kissed him when he was avoiding her. If her father knew, he would not be here, rather he would be at home scolding her.
"Mr. Chen, it seems your daughter disagrees with you," Nicholas said. He was running out of patience waiting for her to speak but she remained silent. How was he supposed to believe a single word that they say when she was acting as if her lips had been glued together?
"Emma, don't be afraid to speak now," he said in a gentle tone but his gaze was sharp as he glared at her for making him look like a fool. "Tell them what you told me."
