412 The sudden attack

Abigail and Christopher finally came out of the boat house and headed toward the restaurant, where Brad and Anastasia had been waiting for them. The evening was tranquil; the sky was painted in hues of twilight, and the air carried a gentle breeze that ruffled Abigail's hair.

Yet, beneath the surface, Abigail was battling her own discomfort. A queasiness settled in her stomach, and a subtle pain tugged at her abdomen.
