The Billionaire's Sick Wife

A poor girl born with congenital heart disease has not had much hope for the future, but her life takes a sharp turn when a wealthy, handsome man proposes marriage to her following her heart transplant. It was the most surprising thing to happen to her in her 22 years of life. Abigail had never thought that Christopher Sherman, a young, multibillionaire businessman, would approach her and express his desire to marry her. She was ecstatic and accepted his proposal. But little did she know that the 32-year-old handsome guy had a secret reason for wanting to marry her. Abigail stepped into his world with a lot of hope in her heart. But marrying him was not the happy ending. It was just the beginning. Will she be able to keep her heart from breaking? What will happen if she discovers his true motive? ============= "Life was easy before I married you," said Abigail with pain in her eyes. “I was dying, but I was happy.” “What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm. Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered. "Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute. “Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?” His silence was the clear answer. ============= A special thanks to Aurora, my editor, for her helpful suggestions on how to improve the synopsis. The closeness

Abigail came to a standstill, staring at him.

Christopher also didn't say a thing, nor did he loosen his grip. His gaze swept across her face before resting on her lips. Her proximity, enchanting eyes, and pretty face sparked his desire. When she came to him willingly, he would not leave her.

"You were looking for me," he mumbled.

"Yes," she replied, her voice barely above a whisper. "You didn't return to the bedroom last night."

"You were upset with me," Christopher said after a few moments. "I assumed you preferred to be alone."

"You don't know what I want. You never tried to learn about it." She pouted.

"What do you want?" he asked hoarsely.

Her soft body was on his. On top of that, she was speaking in a low tone that sounded seductive.

He was losing control over himself. Lust had clouded his eyes, muddled his brain, and asked him to do the things he had never done with her.
