The Billionaire's Sick Wife

A poor girl born with congenital heart disease has not had much hope for the future, but her life takes a sharp turn when a wealthy, handsome man proposes marriage to her following her heart transplant. It was the most surprising thing to happen to her in her 22 years of life. Abigail had never thought that Christopher Sherman, a young, multibillionaire businessman, would approach her and express his desire to marry her. She was ecstatic and accepted his proposal. But little did she know that the 32-year-old handsome guy had a secret reason for wanting to marry her. Abigail stepped into his world with a lot of hope in her heart. But marrying him was not the happy ending. It was just the beginning. Will she be able to keep her heart from breaking? What will happen if she discovers his true motive? ============= "Life was easy before I married you," said Abigail with pain in her eyes. “I was dying, but I was happy.” “What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm. Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered. "Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute. “Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?” His silence was the clear answer. ============= A special thanks to Aurora, my editor, for her helpful suggestions on how to improve the synopsis. The clash between Christopher and Jasper.

Christopher's face turned red in anger as he glared at them. He clenched his fists, his knuckles turning white.

He thought he would make her happy before he asked her about the letter. So, on the way back, he stopped for chocolates and ice cream and then went to the florist to get flowers for her.

To his great surprise, she was with Jasper.

Abigail had refused to speak to him and had repeatedly asked him to leave her alone, but she didn't appear to be uncomfortable with Jasper.

Christopher wondered whether she had asked him to leave as well. He felt a sense of betrayal and jealousy. His mind raced with thoughts of what they could be talking about.

'Did she tell him about the letter?' he wondered.

The thought that she had more faith in others than in him made him restless. He wanted to ask her where he lacked in showing his love and care to her that she didn't trust him.
