The Billionaire's Sick Wife

A poor girl born with congenital heart disease has not had much hope for the future, but her life takes a sharp turn when a wealthy, handsome man proposes marriage to her following her heart transplant. It was the most surprising thing to happen to her in her 22 years of life. Abigail had never thought that Christopher Sherman, a young, multibillionaire businessman, would approach her and express his desire to marry her. She was ecstatic and accepted his proposal. But little did she know that the 32-year-old handsome guy had a secret reason for wanting to marry her. Abigail stepped into his world with a lot of hope in her heart. But marrying him was not the happy ending. It was just the beginning. Will she be able to keep her heart from breaking? What will happen if she discovers his true motive? ============= "Life was easy before I married you," said Abigail with pain in her eyes. “I was dying, but I was happy.” “What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm. Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered. "Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute. “Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?” His silence was the clear answer. ============= A special thanks to Aurora, my editor, for her helpful suggestions on how to improve the synopsis. Getting hired

Two days later…

Abigail came for an interview at the Prestige Concierge.

Aaron had scheduled the interview the moment he received her call. He was happy with her answers and hired her immediately.

Abigail hadn't anticipated that she would get the job so easily. She couldn't stop herself from calling Christopher as soon as she walked out of the interview room.

Christopher and Benjamin were talking about something when the ringtone on his phone interrupted their conversation. He quickly answered the phone when he saw Abigail's name.

"Christopher, I got the job!" He heard her say it excitedly.

"That's amazing, Abigail! Congratulations!" His own voice echoed her excitement.

"Thank you, Christopher! I'm so excited. I can't believe I cracked the interview and got hired." She grinned from ear to ear.
