The Billionaire's Sick Wife

A poor girl born with congenital heart disease has not had much hope for the future, but her life takes a sharp turn when a wealthy, handsome man proposes marriage to her following her heart transplant. It was the most surprising thing to happen to her in her 22 years of life. Abigail had never thought that Christopher Sherman, a young, multibillionaire businessman, would approach her and express his desire to marry her. She was ecstatic and accepted his proposal. But little did she know that the 32-year-old handsome guy had a secret reason for wanting to marry her. Abigail stepped into his world with a lot of hope in her heart. But marrying him was not the happy ending. It was just the beginning. Will she be able to keep her heart from breaking? What will happen if she discovers his true motive? ============= "Life was easy before I married you," said Abigail with pain in her eyes. “I was dying, but I was happy.” “What do you mean?” Christopher clasped her arm. “Stop talking nonsense and eat the medicine,” he hissed, placing a tablet in her palm. Under his fiery gaze, Abigail cowered. "Do you find it difficult to meet my demand for a baby? It has been two years, Christopher." He didn’t answer her question. All he did was stare at her, acting mute. “Why do I feel like you don’t care about my feelings?” Abigail asked. “Don’t you love me?” His silence was the clear answer. ============= A special thanks to Aurora, my editor, for her helpful suggestions on how to improve the synopsis. A proposal

Adrian visited the hotels the Shermans owned to see how things were going. He had visited the Sierra Hotel every now and then because it was in the heart of the city.

Since the overseas clients used to stay here whenever they came to the city, his visits were more frequent than at the other hotels.

He had, however, never summoned her before.

Rachel had never expected Adrian or anyone else in the Sherman household to find out where she worked, as she thought it was an insignificant matter for them to know anything about her.

She couldn't stop herself from shivering as she made her way toward the presidential suite.

She couldn't fathom why he wanted to talk to her.

'Did Abi make mistakes? Did she upset her in-laws? Did anything happen between Abi and Christopher? Is she all right? Did she get sick? What does Mr. Adrian Sherman have to say to me?'
