Chapter 45
Cynthia woke up some hours later with some headaches. When she stood up, she didn't remember what had happened earlier or how she had dozed off on the dining table.
Without hesitating, she stood up and called Ann to come and clean up the plates she had used for eating.
Afterwards, she went to her room and had her shower, after which she came to the sitting room and started watching her favorite TV show that was displaying on the television.
As she was watching it, she heard a knock on the door, but she ignored it and called one of the maids, who went and opened the door.
Once she opened the door, three well-armed policemen barged into the house, and immediately Cynthia saw them. She stood up from the couch where she was sitting.
