"Argh" I closed my ears as my phone continuously rang so loudly. Moreover, my legs felt so heavy. I opened my eyes and instantly felt dizzy, I then struggled to sit up straight.

"Liam" I called her name in a very low tone. There was no response from anyone. On opening my eyes wide, I realized I wasn't in my room.

I was probably in a hotel room alone, and then immediately felt so awake.

"Where am I?" I rhetorically asked myself.

There was a piece of note on the center table. I dragged my body to the table, picked the paper and began reading its content.

"I believe you are reading this right now. Things happened last night because we were both drunk, but forget we ever met". Ethan.

I tried to recall what had happened the night before. My head still aches. I picked up my phone to call Liam.

"Twenty missed calls, I must have gotten everyone worried" I continued pacing around the room.

I continuously tried calling her, but she wasn't responding. I wore my clothes, picked up my bag and left the hotel immediately.

Ethan already had a ride to take me home.

"He must be a Billionaire," I thought to myself.

While I was peacefully seated in the car, I spotted a card and picked it up. It was a business card of the man I had a one-night stand with.

He was a top director in his father's company, I couldn't believe my eyes. Just as I was about to ask the driver a question, he informed me we already arrived at my place.

I rushed into my apartment only to find Liam and Tricia sober. Immediately they saw me, they jumped on me, and we all went down on the floor.

"Where have you been, Ava? We all have been dead worried. I tried calling you, but you weren't picking up" Liam scolded me.

"It's a long story, but at least I'm fine" I assured them both

I had the sweetest friends ever, and I can boldly say it anywhere.

I was still tired from what happened the night before, but I couldn't get my head off him.

Two months later:

Tricia and I were having breakfast when I suddenly felt an urge to vomit. I then rushed to the bathroom.

After throwing up, I looked at myself in the mirror, and saw how pale I looked. I had been feeling tired and nauseated in the past few weeks.

"Are you okay, Ava?" She said running towards me

"I'm okay, I think I need to see a doctor".

We rushed down to a nearby hospital to see a doctor. I had to wait for a while because there were many people waiting already.

While we were waiting, I kept thinking to myself

"What if I am pregnant?" A part of me already knew the outcome, but I kept my hopes high.

While I was still with Alex, my ex-boyfriend, we always used protection

"How will I get pregnant for Alex when we always used protection?".

I ran the test and patiently waited for the result while still in deep thoughts.

"Here is the result of the test that was carried out on you, Miss" The beautiful female doctor stretched out the envelope to me with a smile.

I was too scared to open it there, so I took it home with a heavy heart.

"Come on, open it, let's see the result" Tricia said immediately we got back home.

I opened the envelope with a shaky hand. I was reading it when a tear dropped on the letter. There was a little thing in my belly, I was officially pregnant.

"You're pregnant" She opened her mouth wide open

"Why would I let something like this happen to me? How could I have been so stupid?" I cried my eyes out.

"It's okay, Ava. There's no need to blame yourself, let's just plan a way forward. Moreover, you are a twenty-four-year-old, not too late to have a child, I guess" Tricia tried encouraging me, but I had so many things to accomplish before thinking of starting a family.

"Wait, who's the father?" Liam stepped out of the bathroom. She has been eavesdropping on our discussion.

I didn't know how to answer that because I wasn't sure who the father was.

"I don't know, for real" I sighed loudly

"Why were you so careless, Ava, to the extent of not knowing who the father of your unborn child is" Liam scolded me.

"You have to be calm, Liam. Take it easy on me, I'm not in the right state of mind right now, please" I felt nauseous as I ran towards the bathroom to throw up.

"I have a suggestion though" Tricia finally spoke up

"Just tell Alex he's the father of the child".

"What?" Liam and I yelled at the same time

"Huh, you think raising a child alone is fun, right? Not only financially, but also mentally and emotionally, you have to dedicate all your time. You're a working-class lady, how will you cope with your job and catering for a child?" Tricia had a valid point, but I couldn't because I wanted my unborn child to know her so-called father, make her have a worthless man as a father.

"I think Tricia has a point, babe" I wasn't expecting Liam to support her.

"Girls, I know you're trying to help, but I can't have Alex father my child. I prefer to be a single mother to have him raise my child with me" I calmly told them.

"It's okay, Ava. We'll always support your decisions, regardless" Tricia smiled at me. "I suggested something good you know" We all laughed. I had the two best friends ever.

"Okay, this calls for a celebration. Tricia and I are becoming aunties soon" Liam jumped up.

"No, I am the bigger aunt while you are the smaller aunt" Tricia teased Liam, and they began arguing for a few minutes.

"Okay, girls, where are you taking me to?" I asked, and we all went out to celebrate my unborn child.
