Chapter 17: Unexpected Visit
Felicity went to her apartment by the beach to do some maintenance. She watered the plants, fluffed the pillows, and checked the expiration date on that yogurt she had left behind. She made herself a cup of tea and went out onto the balcony to observe the ocean. She felt as though she could relate to it somehow. The way it constantly moved, its waves crashing against one another. It’s how her life felt. Everything clashed and there was no direction left.
She sipped her tea and breathed in the salty air that gave her that sweet nostalgic feeling. The sting of her feelings that were growing for Levi drove her to look up at the sky.She closed her eyes and put Marco’s face into her line of vision. “What am I doing?” she asked.
There was a rushed knock at her door, that jolted her from her thoughts.
“Who the hell…” she cursed as she went to go open the door. “Mom!”
