The strange Man

Lyric had settled down even though I had been hard at first. When she got down from her flight, she moved her luggage and lodged in an hotel temporarily while she searched for an apartment which was really hard to find considering the fact that she was in the big city.

It took her about a week and a couple of days to find an apartment, which she learnt she was going to share with someone. She got a job as a waitress in a cafe nearby some days after she had settled.

Lyrics POV

She was due to move i n her apartment today and it wasn't going to be easy, cause her afternoon shift ends by 5:30pm and the distance between the hotel she had lodged in and the apartment she was renting were about 50 minutes from each other.

It was hard to find an apartment at first, It took her days to find an apartment she liked, wasn't to expensive and was comfortable to be in. What she had for the apartment was love at first sight. Even though she didn't get to meet her new roommate the last time she came she hoped they would get along.

"Lyric would go to table 3 and take the order please?" She heard her boss Damian ask politely.

"Oh! OK Damian" she answered smiling thinking about how nice Damian was to employ her even though they were strangers and he had enough workers already.

"What's can I get you ?" She asked politely absentmindedly looking at her notepad ready to write down had s order.

"I want a black coffe and a low sugar muffin" he demanded rudely.

"Anything else?" She asked still not looking up.

"If I wanted something else I would have told you so go and get my order now" he said in a dismissing tone. She decided to look at the rude person she was supposed to attend to. He looked smart wearing what seemed to be an Armani suit on a pair of Italian shoes and his hair was messy like he had run his hand through it a couple of times, but he still managed to pull it off.

She was still trying to figure him out when she heard him rudely say.

"Are you done staring? Now get me my coffee before I get you sacked".

'Keep your thoughts to yourself Lyric, remember what Damian always says, every customer is right even if they wrong' she thought as she inhaled deeply and exhaled strongly trying to reduce her anger, she finally did, breathing always helped her to control her temper, her mom had taught her how.

Then she left him, got his his order, brought it to him which jerked away from her . ' childish ' she thought as she saw him pick his keys and his order and leave the cafe. She sighed thanking the lord and relieved that the overbearing annoying man had left already.
