Chapter 49: Forever Bride
Lia walked into the Nash Global towers. The scene today was different. Nandi ran in her heels to come and meet her in the foyer.
“Mrs. Nash, this way!” Nandi said as she took the briefcase and jacket Lia was wearing and led her down the corridor.
She could feel all eyes on her as she made her way towards her husband’s office.
“She is beautiful,” she had people whispering.
“I heard they are high school sweethearts!” she had others spreading misinformation.
“I heard she can control even people’s minds with just her cell phone. Do not look directly at her,” others exaggerated. Who did they think she was? Medusa?
“Do you know her skin is naturally that beautiful? She doesn’t even wear make-up!” someone else whispered. This was true, however. She could not help but chuckle at how the office was nothing but a hive of gossip.
