Chapter 39: A Man’s Man
“Meet Jack, Ryan. Your son!” Lia announced.
Ryan’s mouth was open, and she could swear if he did not close it, flies would build nest eggs in there.
“My what? Now this twist I did not see coming!” Ryan exclaimed.
“I know you! You are the daddy from the pictures mom showed me!” Jack announced happily. “I have also seen you on TV!”
Ryan covered his mouth with both his hands. He could not talk. The whole room was now quiet.
“Oh, whatever! I have better things to do!” Kelly said, stood up, and marched out.
Nobody seemed to pay her any attention as she stormed out. Ryan continued to stare at Jack, tears forming in his eyes.
“Come, let’s go for a walk outside, buddy! Let’s go see some beautiful flowers!” Brian said as he took Jack’s hand and exited with him.
“You have done enough damage! Leave!” Dawn barked at Bobby.
After Bobby had left, Dawn walked up to Ryan and Lia.
