My Woman

An hour passed but Eloise didn't come back. Mia was beginning to get anxious because she really wanted the house on the cliff. She tried calling Nicholas again, but he didn't answer the call.

"Mia, are you sure Nicholas didn't fool you? What if he gave you the card to teach you a lesson?" Ady couldn't hide the nervousness in her voice.

"Why would he do that? He's the one who wronged my sister." Skylar pouted.

That's right. Nicholas had no reason to punish her. She was the one who had been hurt because of him.

She didn't have the time to argue with Ady and Skylar. There were people who left the building earlier and they were either mad or disappointed. Another half an hour passed, Eloise and five other people came.

Ady stood behind her as if someone would attack them. She wasn't expecting anymore after seeing the others leave with rejection letters on their hands. All she wanted was to get the card and get out of the place.

"Miss Lane, we apologize for the delay. I'm the estate broker of the Majesty, Claire West. Please understand that we have to check everything about our client. The black card you're using is owned by Mr.Nicholas Hudson. Is that correct?"

She nodded. "Yeah. He asked me to buy a house using the card so I came here. But if it's rejected, then I'll just have to look for another place."

Claire smiled. "No. Miss Lane, you've been approved. But since you're not the owner of the card, we have to call and ask Mr.Hudson to sign the documents himself."

Her eyes widened. "You called him? Is he coming here?"

Claire nodded. "Yes. In fact, he's already here. Mr.Hudson, it's an honor!"

Mia noticed Claire's gestures toward Nicholas. She immediately walked toward him, flipping her hair and giving him a sweet smile.

"Mr.Hudson, this is the woman who tried to use your card, claiming that you asked her to buy a house for you. We called the police and reported it."

Mia frowned, looking at Eloise whose eyes glued to the ground. Then she turned her glare to Claire West.

"You're accusing me of stealing the card?"

Claire laughed. "It's not an accusation. I'm sure of it. Mr.Hudson would never lend his card to anyone, especially to someone like you."

She gritted her teeth, seeing the woman stare at her from head to toe. She was wearing a black leather mini skirt and white sleeveless top paired with a black leather jacket. Ady had a red short dress on while Skylar was into jeans and white shirt.

Based on her appearance and Ady's, they actually looked like they were working in a club, which they never denied to anyone.

"I see. You assumed that I stole the card because of the way we dress." She chuckled. "I'm sorry to disappoint you, Claire West. I didn't steal it. He gave me the card."

"And why would Mr.Hudson give his card to someone like you?"

She smirked. And without a word, she walked closer to Nicholas, wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled his head to kiss him.

She wasn't sure if she would respond to her kiss. The last time they kissed was two years ago, and it was also her first. She slightly smiled when she felt his arms on her waist pulling her closer and deepening the kiss.

Ady cleared her throat to get their attention. She didn't want it to end, but they had to. The stunned faces of the people around made her blush.

She buried her face in Nicholas' chest out of embarrassment.

"You did something you shouldn't, then you will hide. Do you regret kissing me?" Nicholas chuckled.

She felt relieved hearing his soft chuckles. She was expecting that he would get mad because the plan was to introduce her during President Myers' party. But she was pissed. No, she was mad because of the way Claire West flirted with Nicholas.

"No. Just having a different thought."

Nicholas frowned. Then she tiptoed to reach his right ear.

"I'm just thinking what will happen if we're alone."

He took a deep sigh when he felt her warm breath brushed through his skin. Amelia Lane knew that she was his weakness, and being that close to her made him want her more.

"Mr.Hudson? What's the meaning of this?" Claire's confused face was too funny to look at.

"It's what you think. Miss Lane is my woman so I gave her my card to buy a house. It seemed she loved the one on the cliff. We'll buy it."

Claire shook her head. "This is against Majesty's policy. We can't let a mistress live here."

Nicholas looked at Claire with a dark expression. Then two men arrived at the scene, making Claire stunned again. It was the owner of the Majesty.

"Mr.Hudson, we apologize for the behavior of our broker. But don't mind her. The mansion on the cliff is yours and you don't need to pay anything." One of the men said.

"B–But sir, that woman—"

"Shut your mouth! We didn't see anything and we knew nothing about it. Understand?" The other man yelled at the employees.

Mia turned to Claire, grinning at her. Then she held her trembling shoulders and leaned toward her ear.

"Hey, if this gets out, you'll get fired then I'll make sure no one will hire you anymore."

Claire's knees weakened and her body wouldn't stop shaking. Mia's voice was cold but fierce, making someone afraid of her.

After signing the documents, Nicholas dragged her into the master's bedroom. Her heart pounded and her chest tightened, thinking that he would do something to her.

"You're being reckless, Mia. We talked about it just a few hours ago."

She pouted. "What do you want me to do? Let that woman accuse me of stealing? Nope. That won't happen."

Nicholas sighed. "Fine. But next time, just call me."

"Okay. By the way, why are you here? You could just make some phone calls. Why would you bother coming here?" She asked.

"I want to see the house."

"And?"

"The bedroom."

"And?"

"You."
