She’s the illegitimate daughter of a business tycoon, so she was mistreated and was never allowed to use her father’s last name. The last thing Amelia Lane wanted was to cross paths with her half-sister, but fate was never kind to her. He was every woman’s dream, and she wouldn’t deny the fact that she was one of those women. He bought her virginity for five million dollars, but on the day of their first night, another unfortunate event happened to her. Two years later, he was still a regular client of the club where she worked as a scarlet, and he couldn't forget his desire for Amelia Lane. Amelia's misfortune had always been following her for the past two years. She was desperate to get out of her fucked up life and was willing to be with any man as long as he could take her away from the club. So when Nicholas offered her an indecent proposal, she was blown away and speechless. Who wouldn’t accept an offer from him? He got everything a woman ever wanted. Money. Fame. Power. Good-Looks. But there’s only one problem… He was already married. But regardless, he was her only way out. She wanted to have a comfortable life and take revenge on the people who mistreated her. And agreeing to be Nicholas’ legal mistress was her best option. A forbidden affair. A sin that could never be forgiven. And a love that should never be. *************************** Excerpt: "I warned you before to stay away from Nicholas." Sabrina Hale looked at her with disgust. "I remembered that. But did I tell you if I will follow what you said? I don't even know who you are." Her eyes flickered with defiance. "I am his wife!" "Exactly. That's the reason I chose to be his mistress." She stared straight at Sabrina without a flinch. The thirty nine year old woman laughed bitterly. "If you keep this up, it won't end well for you." It was a warning. Sabrina Hale did everything to be Nicholas Hudson's wife so Amelia knew that making her an enemy was never a good idea. But she didn't care. "You know very well that I have your husband's heart. And what do you have? Just a piece of trash signed by him. Don't forget, I know what you did two years ago so your threat won't work with me anymore." ************************* Cover photo not mine. How about you marry me?

She didn't know how to reply to Nicholas. Or what to feel about it. She didn't even have any idea why he had to tell her, since they were strangers to each other.

"You don't have to worry or feel sorry. I don't need that. I just need someone to listen."

She understood what he meant. He wanted to rant, but he couldn't. She finally felt his anger toward his situation.

"You don't want to get married? Is that the reason you keep coming back here?"

He didn't answer.

"I'm sorry. It's just that when I think about it. The news about you being a womanizer started a month after your brother died. So I was wondering if what you're doing is intentional."

Nicholas suddenly laid on the bed, which surprised her. He put his hands at the back of his head and stared at the ceiling.

"Yes. My parents kept on scolding me. Imagine, I'm in my thirties and a successful man, but I'm still being scolded."

"At least you still have your parents. If only my mom could do that. I miss being scolded."

Nicholas felt her loneliness. He knew her mom died when she was young and her father abandoned her. He did a background check on her and she was a decent woman. But someone paid the university where she was studying so she could get expelled. That's when she decided to work in a place like this.

"That woman. I mean your fiance. Is she okay with whatever you are doing?" She asked curiosity piqued.

"I don't know. After her parents and mine decided on the engagement, I couldn't approach her. I don't want to. I couldn't even look at her. I received a message from her, saying that it's for my brother and both families."

For her, that's so weird and awkward. Imagine, marrying your dead brother's fiance just because your family needed to gain more money.

"How about marrying someone else? I mean in secret. You're a grown up. You don't need your parents' permission to get married. They can't do anything about it."

Nicholas stared at her, making her heart melt. He stood without averting his eyes from hers. Her heart couldn't stop pounding because he was too close.

"How about you marry me?" He blurted.

She blinked. "W–What?"

Then he laughed. "You should see the look on your face. Don't worry, I'm just kidding."

Well, her heart wasn't kidding. She was ready to say yes if only he didn't laugh about it.

Then he stood up and smiled at her. "I'll see you in two days. I haven't won in our game. I still want to play." He winked.

He was about to leave when she grabbed his hand, making him frown.

"Sorry." She quickly let go of him.

"What is it?"

"Ahm. When we meet, can you not call for other girls? I have something to show you and I need you to focus on me." There, she finally asked.

He still had a frown on his face. "I'm always focused on you even when those girls are in front of me. But okay. I'll be yours for that night."

He was taken aback when she suddenly smiled at him. It was the first time someone smiled at him with pure happiness. It wasn't fake, she was genuinely happy.

He couldn't take it so he quietly turned around and walked away.

What's with that woman? When he first met her, she made a huge effect on him because of that slap. He thought he would be mad at her, but surprisingly, he couldn't feel a grudge toward her.

The night he offered her to play that stupid game, he was mesmerized as he stared at her.

"Amelia Lane." He whispered.

"Is there something wrong sir?" Gerald, his personal driver and bodyguard asked.

"That woman, how old is she?"

"Twenty two, sir."

"I see. Can you buy me some flowers? I need it in two days."

Gerald was curious. His boss had never bought flowers before, except for his mother.

"What kind sir?"

"Yellow tulips."

"Yellow, sir?"

"A bouquet of yellow tulips."

Gerald wondered who the lucky lady was. But he wouldn't dare to ask his boss about her.

Mia's heart couldn't stop pounding. An hour passed already when Nicholas left, but she still couldn't believe what happened.

"Lia, is it true? Nicholas went to see you? And he came into your room?"

Ady immediately went to her, followed by Jean. She looked at the other girl and she was glad that she seemed more excited than Ady.

"Yes. I still couldn't believe it." She gasped.

The two girls squealed. "What did he say to you?"

"About him. You know I can't tell you, right?"

Ady and Jean nodded. "It's fine. But we're happy for you. Everyone is talking about you. It's the first time Nicholas came up here."

"Ady, I asked him not to call for other girls when we meet again. I'm sorry, Jean." She sincerely apologized.

"Oh, shush. It's fine. I sucked his dick a few times already and I couldn't pass that stage."

She wasn't sure if she would laugh about it or get offended, but she knew Jean was only saying what's on her mind.

"Lia will be the first to sleep with him. That's important." Ady commented to lessen the awkwardness.

"We're still not sure about that. He didn't say anything about it, and I don't want to talk about sleeping with him like it's a piece of cake."

She had decided to make Nicholas her first, but she was still scared. She had no idea about sex, and had no experience of anything related to it.

"So did you practice your dance?" Ady asked.

She nodded. "Yes. But I don't know what to wear."

Ady and Jean glanced at each other. Then they looked at her and grinned.

"We'll help you and we will make sure that Nicholas will never take his eyes off you."
