He called Amelia, his voice shaking with fear. "Amelia," he said, his voice urgent. "I need to know where you are. I need to know what hospital you're in." "Xander," Amelia said, her voice weak and tired.

Amelia continued, her voice barely above a whisper. "Xander, I'm at St. Mary's Hospital. Please, come quickly."Xander nodded, He knew he had to act fast. He quickly made his way to the hospital, his mind racing with worry.

When he arrived, he found Amelia's mother in the waiting room.

Mrs. Adams led Xander down the hallway, her eyes filled with fear and worry. When they reached Amelia's room, Mrs. Adams paused, her hand on the door. "Xander," she said, her voice trembling. Then Mrs. Adams opened the door.

Inside the room, Amelia lay motionless on the bed, her face pale and her body still and quiet. Xander felt like his heart was breaking as he looked at her, his eyes filling with tears.

Mrs. Adams approached the bed, her voice a whisper. "Amelia," she said, her voice shaking with emotion. "Amelia, it's your mother."

Amelia's eyes fluttered open, her gaze unfocused. "Mum?" she said, her voice weak and tired.

Amelia struggled to sit up in the bed, her face creasing with pain. "Xander," she said, reaching out for him. "Xander, I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have left. I shouldn't have gone."

Xander's heart ached as he took Amelia's hand, his voice filled with love and emotion. "Amelia," he said, his voice a plea. "Don't apologize. Don't apologize for anything.

Amelia looked up at Xander, her eyes filled with regret. "Xander," she said, her voice trembling. "I made a mistake. I let fear get the better of me. I let fear get in the way of our love."

Xander shook his head, his eyes filling with tears. "Amelia, it doesn't matter," he said, his voice a whisper. "It doesn't matter what happened in the past.

"All that matters is that you're here now.

Xander leaned down and kissed Amelia's forehead, his lips gentle against her skin. "Amelia," he said, his voice filled with emotion. "I love you. I'm not going to let anything come between us again."

Amelia smiled weakly, her eyes glistening with tears. "Xander," she said, her voice a hoarse whisper. "I love you, too. And I'm never going to let you go again."

Mrs. Adams smiled, her eyes filled with tears. "Xander," she said, her voice thick with emotion. "I've always known that you were the one for my daughter.

"You've never stopped loving her, even when she pushed you away. And now, here you are, by her side, when she needs you the most.

"Xander, you're the kind of man any mother would be proud to call her son."

Xander looked up at Mrs. Adams, his face filled with gratitude. "Mrs. Adams," he said, his voice filled with emotion. "Thank you. Thank you for welcoming me into your family, and for believing in us.

"I promise, Mrs. Adams, I will never stop loving Amelia. I will always be here for her. I will always be by her side."

Mrs. Adams nodded, her eyes shining with pride and love. "Xander," she said, her voice thick with emotion. "I know you will.

As Amelia recovered from her injuries, the hospital room became a revolving door of visitors. Her coworkers, her friends, her boss, all came to offer their support and well wishes.

One afternoon, as Amelia was resting, Xander's phone rang. It was his parents, calling from back home.

"Xander," his mother said, her voice thick with worry. "Xander, what's going on? Are you okay? We heard about the accident."

Xander's heart sank as he realized he hadn't told his parents what had happened. "Mom," he said, his voice shaking. "I'm okay. But Amelia was in a car accident.

"Xander," his mother said, her voice trembling with emotion. "Oh my goodness, Xander, we were so worried. Are you sure you're okay?"

Xander took a deep breath, trying to steady his voice. "Mom, I'm okay," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "But Amelia, she's…"

His voice trailed off, his heart heavy with worry.

"Xander," his father said, his voice stern but filled with love.

"Xander," his father continued, his voice firm and reassuring. "We know you love Amelia. And we know you're doing everything you can to be there for her.

"But, Xander, you need to take care of yourself, too. You can't forget about your own health and well-being."

Xander's heart ached as he listened to his father's words, his mind swirling with emotion. And then, he replied.

"Dad, I know," Xander said, his voice a whisper. "I know I need to take care of myself.

"But I can't just walk away from Amelia. She's my whole world, Dad. She's the person I love most in the world.

"Dad, I can't just walk away from that."

Xander's father was silent for a long moment, his heart heavy with emotion. And then, he replied.

Xander, I understand," his father said, his voice filled with emotion. "I understand what you're saying, and I understand how much Amelia means to you.

"Xander, all I'm asking is that you remember to take care of yourself, too. Remember to eat, to sleep, to take breaks.

"Xander, remember that Amelia needs you to be strong and healthy."

Xander's heart swelled as he listened to his father's words, his eyes filling with tears.

And then, after a long silence, Xander replied.

"Dad, I will," he said, his voice thick with emotion. "I promise, Dad. I'll take care of myself.

"And I'll take care of Amelia. I promise, Dad. I'll be here for her, through thick and thin.

"I promise, Dad."

Xander's father nodded, his heart filled with pride and love for his son.

As Xander hung up the phone, he felt a sense of relief wash over him. His parents knew about Amelia's accident, and they were supporting him, even from a distance.

And then, he turned to face Amelia, his heart filled with love and determination. He knew that he would be there for her, no matter what.
