Chapter 23
THE WEDDING DAY...
Delicia woke Alayna up.
"Time to get up sleeping, beauty!
"It's your big day"
"We need to get you dressed."
Alayna rose from the bed and asked, "What time is it?"
Delicia responded, "It's time to take a shower!"
Alayna prepares to take a bath.
They waited in her presence while the makeup artist came.
She exits the shower after.
Delicia responded, "We got two hours to get you ready.
"Now, let's get started."
They assisted her in getting ready, finishing with her hair and makeup.
As soon as they finished, they were both amazed.
The makeup artist remarked, "Wow!
"You look so beautiful!"
Delicia added, "She a bad bitch!
"Do you see her?
"The perfect fucking bride is standing in front of us!
"You look wonderful!
"You're going to make me cry."
As Kathy entered the room, her eyes widened.
"Alayna?
"Wow, I had no clue my sister could pull off a wedding dress like this!
"You look hot!"
They were all mesmerized as she said, "Thanks, guys!
"You're giving me more self-assurance!"
Delicia responded, "As we should!"
Kathy responded, "Alright, you guys!
"It's time."
Exhaling, Alayna made her way outside after descending the stairs.
Their compound served as the venue for the wedding.
To organize everything, the girls put forth a lot of effort.
Delicia said to her, "You got this, okay?
"Now walk that aisle and go marry your man!"
Alayna smiled.
The instrumental began playing as she walked.
At the altar, Dominique stood and waited.
He fixed his sight on her.
He took her hand, and they stood facing each other.
Aren't I the luckiest man in the world to have such a wonderful and lovely woman as my future wife?" he said.
As they took their positions and the officiant started the wedding ceremony, she smiled at him.
"I do," as they exchanged vows he said,
The officiant continued.
Alayna said, "I do."
They exchanged rings after they both had repeated their vows.
The officiant asked them to join hands.
He said, "By the authority vested in me under the laws of the state of Louisiana.
"I now pronounce you husband and wife.
"You may kiss the bride."
Dominique got closer to her.
He said, "We got to kiss in front of all these people.
"Do you want to make this hot or not, babe?"
She responded, "Do you want to give them a hint on how you got me pregnant?"
He smirked and leaned in to kiss her.
Everyone applauded and cheered as they kissed.
Delicia squealed in excitement and said, "Congratulations, you two!"
Alayna responded, "I know your single ass is getting drunk tonight."
She responded, "Hell yeah!
"I have to celebrate the fact that I lived to see my best friend get married!"
Junior approached them and said, "Now I can't wait to be an uncle!
"Congrats, you two."
Alayna smiled.
Dominique chuckled and said, "Now, I have a surprise for you.
"But, first, we have a honeymoon to celebrate."
They made their way down the aisle to the limo.
She smiled at him.
Before entering, Alayna said, "Now, I'm excited to see who's getting married next."
To grab the bouquet, the females huddled close together.
She tossed the bouquet, and Delicia caught it.
The girls squealed in excitement as Alayna turned around.
She said to her, "As I expected!
"That's a wedding I wouldn't miss."
Delicia grinned.
Alayna waved to everyone as she boarded the limo.
They then drove off to spend their honeymoon.
TWO MONTHS LATER...
When Alayna's water broke, she was already on her way to the hospital.
Junior sped off as Dominique held her.
She was rushed into labor as soon as they arrived.
Dominique stood beside her as she held his hand, blowing rapidly to ease the pain.
He stood at her side, consoling her while the nurses were ready to deliver the twins.
The nurse said, "Alright, take a deep breath and push!"
Alayna pushed and her first child was born.
After two minutes, the other one arrived.
The nurse gave her one of the twins and handed Dominique the other.
"Hey, there babygirl!
"Daddy finally gets to meet you.
"I was right!
"She's beautiful!" Dominique said as Alayna played with the other one.
After three days in the hospital, she was eager to go home.
He takes her to the house.
When they arrived, Kathy, Darla, and Delicia were waiting patiently.
They ran toward her to see the babies.
"Oh my God, they're gorgeous!" said Kathy.
Delicia responded, "They are!
"Let's get them inside."
He headed inside as Alayna and Dominique followed.
4 YEARS LATER...
Alayna yelled, "Babe!
"Come here quickly!
"Can you help me carry this package over there?"
As he approaches her, Dominique moves the box.
In the living room, the girls were playing on the floor.
They both stood looking at the girls as Dominique grabbed her waist and said, "Your ass is even fatter."
He grabbed her ass as she said, "Babe!
"What are you doing?
"The kids are right there!"
He said, "I know.
"I'm just messing with you, Darling.
"But I'm serious about the weight gain.
"You look even hotter!"
She kissed him.
They hugged each other and looked at their children.
He said to her, "Look at them.
"They're happy."
She responded, "At last, we're one happy family."
He turned to her and said, "I love you, Alayna."
She responded, "I love you too."
In the end, Alayna got what she wanted, and Dominique was mistaken to believe he would never settle down and fall in love but he did.
