Talk it out
Amani couldn't help but laugh at how ridiculous Leonardo's question sounded when he asked if she didn't like him enough. Since he was open with her that she was the reason why he didn't want to go on his business trip. She thought it was fair if she also let him know how wrong he was about her feelings for him.
"Well you're wrong about that, you know, because contrary to what you think, I like you a lot..."
"Really? You really mean, like a lot?" Leonardo asked, sounding elated
Amani laughed at the time of his voice
"Yes, Leonardo, I really mean like a lot. In fact, I like you so much it scares me and that was what made me promise myself I won't go on any more dates with you." Amani said and the other end of the phone suddenly went silent.
Amani expected him to reply to her but the silence stretched to the point where she started to wonder if he was still on the line or if their call had disconnected without her knowing
