Meeting My Best Friend

Kate's POV

After Clyde drove me to my apartment I immediately went to the bedroom and lay down, I was just staring at the ceiling of the room. Looking its white color, for a moment I looked to the side of my bedroom and saw mom's photo. The two of us were in that photo, I will never forget that day because it was my 7th birthday and I was so excited because it was my first time to experience having a birthday party. Mom put together that birthday party for me. For some inexplicable reason, I suddenly burst into tears again because of sadness. I gasped and thought, all my life I had never experienced having a father, maybe Clyde was right, it was time for me to meet my father.

I was about to get out of bed when suddenly my phone rang. I saw my best friend Anna calling me, so I immediately answered her call.

"Hey," she greeted me.

"How are you?" I asked him.

"I'm fine, I should be the one to ask that, how are you, Kate? It's your mom's birthday today, right? "

"Yes, you still remember."

"Of course! Why can I forget your mom's birthday? I am your best friend and I am the only one you always have with you on your mom's birthday. "
