Tell Me What You did

"Ah! What the f**k? What is that idiot doing? Why is he crying? What kind of man is he? Useless! Ying Yue is crying again, comfort her, you idiot! Don't fall on your knees and cry with her! What is this? A funeral?"

Despite having gone back to her company, Feng Mian was watching the two lovers from her office window, ignoring the stack of papers on her desk marked 'urgent'. There is nothing more important than her best friend.

"CEO Mian! Please, keep quiet!"

Jia Li, her assistant got tired of her boss yelling to no one in particular in her office, disturbing all the workers on the top floor. She gathered her courage and marched prepared to yell at Feng Mian. But upon seeing Feng Mian, all she could say was 'keep quiet'.

Outside Feng Mian's company, Feng Yu was on his knees crying in front of Ying Yue, leaving her stunned. Did he seriously just kneel and start crying? Stop crying and be a man, comfort me!

Ying Yue threw her hands up in the air exasperated, her tears stopped flowing in her frustration. She didn't know what she saw in him to have fallen for him. But she did, and she fell hard.

Feng Yu looked up at Ying Yue with tears in his eyes, "Yue'er, I love you".

"Trust me, I love you" Feng Yu insisted when he got no reply from Ying Yue. Ying Yue no longer trusted words, she even questioned actions.

"When I say I'm going to get you back, I swear in all my life an forever that I won't stop until my last breath" Feng Yu stood up and rest his hand her cheek but Ying Yue just slapped it off.

"How can you say that after everything you've done to me? You were the one who pushed me away, remember?" Ying Yue asked seriously.

Feng Yu looked down in guilt.

"A week before the divorce," Feng Yu started hesitating as he didn't know how to tell how to word it to her.

"Feng Yu, tell me as it is. I forbid you to sugarcoat your words," Ying Yue said sternly.

"Everyday I go to my office I would hear whispers of you, but every time I got near they would stop and walk off. But the week before our divorce," Feng Yu paused and took a deep breath, "they stopped being so secretive about it. They kept saying-"

Ying Yue held up her hand to stop him, "Don't tell me they said about me".

"But it's what they said that-" Feng Yu tried telling her but she cut in.

"Tell me why they were so comfortable to say it around you. Tell me what you did to make them think it was ok to say it in your presence"

Feng Yu had nothing to say to that. Ying Yue stared at him before letting out a scoff, resenting herself for ever believing he loved her. "You divorced me over rumours you heard from people you hired? As their own boss, you didn't stop it? F**king Unbelievable"

Throwing her hands in the air, Ying Yue stared the man she once loved in disgust before turning around to walk away.
