Brin flipped the omelette in the frying pan absentmindedly. Her window overlooked the auto shop and each time she turned to look out the window, memories of her time with Ryker washed over her.

"What are you doing?" Sutton asked from behind. Brin turned to find Sutton standing by the kitchen doorway, cradling Cade to her chest.

"Making breakfast." Brin replied sarcastically, rolling her eyes.

"You should invite Ryker," Sutton said while smiling down at Cade. Brin's hand momentarily paused over the omelettes she was flipping. She shrugged and continued.

"If you will not call him, then I will." Sutton waggled her brows and disappeared into the bedroom.
