In the kitchen

Phina had gotten up to cook. Eva had prepared breakfast the day before and Mrs. Betty the other day. After waking up a little earlier, she cooked in the kitchen.

She sensed someone in the kitchen as she was about to finish. She spun around to see Patrick staring at her while leaning against the doorpost.

It was the first time she had seen him since waking up. When she awoke, he had already gotten out of bed. And when she went into the living room, she didn't see him. She then offered a greeting.

"Good morning." She said hello.

"Morning." He answered. "You are up early today." With a slight smile playing on his lips, he said.

She gave a nod. "I suppose so. How did your business trip go? She inquired.

Remaining upright, he responded. "All right. Thank God, it went smoothly." He then entered the kitchen. She nodded and turned to turn off the pot-filled electric cooker.

"Do you want coffee?"
