The Billionaire's Cursed Heiress

Zara Hansley had always believed herself forsaken by the gods due to the terminal illness she was diagnosed with. Every doctor she visited had declared she would not live past her 23rd birthday. Yet, when left with only a few months to live, Zara found out that the root of her illness was a curse, one which she could break. Just like that, she was given a new chance at life—she had to scour the earth for the cure in just a few short months or succumb to her fate. Fate, however, was a funny thing—it brought her to a stranger that would alter the course of her life forever, and his life by her. Born to an ancient family, Amir Frostcrown was cursed to bring misfortune to any female around him. Not only that, he was able to hear the thoughts of others, thus further drawing a line between him and other ordinary folk. As such, while these abilities amassed him an enormous wealth over the years, he was destined to live a loveless life of solitude. That all changed when his and Zara’s paths crossed. As someone that was completely unaffected by his curses and abilities, Amir Frostcrown was immediately intrigued by this dying girl. One dream, one vow, and two curses. That was all it took for Zara to tumble from the world of reality into fantasy. Would she be able to find her cure in time? When secrets are revealed, would Zara and Amir Frostcrown stand the test of time? *** “We were fated to be from the beginning!” he amusedly declared as he looked at her dotingly, eyes sparkling and only her image visible in his blue eyes. “I don’t believe in fate!” Zara mumbled softly as she looked to the ground, afraid of facing him and the undeniable truth he spoke of. “But don’t you see?” Amir asked. “Isn’t fate what led us to this very moment?”

CHAPTER 14: WHAT IS SHE UP TO?

Zara smacked her lips with satisfaction after she was done eating her porridge.

Seeing Zara happy with the food, Emma's mood improved significantly.

After feeding Zara, the next procedure was to clean her up and make sure that she was presentable. As for the smart drones broadcasting everything LIVE, the two people didn't seem to be aware of it at all.

It took a while for Zara to be done, but when she was done, she looked like a fairy that the viewers were licking their screens.

Since she was going out, under the thousands of viewers' scrutiny, Zara was armed to the teeth.

[OMG! I now believe that her case is serious.]

[It's not just hot, but she had to cover herself like that? How can she breathe freely like that?]

[Doesn't she have that oxygen mask on her?]

[I feel sorry for her all of a sudden.]

[She is really putting more effort into this act!]

[I can't seem to find anything useful about her. It's like she is a ghost!]

Zara couldn't see any of the comments. She was no longer in the mood to interact with anyone. The fact that she would be going shopping was making her feel as if she was floating on clouds.

After getting the oxygen mask in place and other necessary clothing on her, Emma picked Zara from the bed and carried her out of the RV.

Outside the RV, her wheelchair was already in place. And that unique logo that literally could be found everywhere around her could be seen, H.

H was the brand for Zara's family's business. Apparently, someone was too lazy to think of something grand, that they picked the surname's first letter and made it into a brand.

Now H products are very famous. Not only in Dynalis but all over the globe as well.

Emma put Zara carefully on the wheelchair, and the smart wheelchair started moving as it accommodated Zara so that she would be comfortable.

After sitting comfortably in the wheelchair, Zara looked up to the sky as she admired the blueness that didn't show any spark of white. There were no clouds anywhere, and the temperature was a bit high.

Unfortunately, she couldn't sense that, as all her body could feel was the chill.

'One day, I will wear a bikini bravely and fan myself to cool myself down.'

After spending years wearing winter and warm clothes, Zara also thought that she needed a break.

Since they were all ready, Ava took over and began to push Zara's wheelchair.

Although Zara's wheelchairs were advanced and could naturally move without the intervention of other people except Zara's commands, Zara still preferred other people pushing for her.

She was still human and wanted to have that sense of belonging greatly.

The place that she was in town V was more of an industrial area. That was a place she had been itching to go to for a while now.

And seeing the huge buildings, she was very happy. Although there weren't a lot of people she could see, the fact that she was going there was already enough for her.

With the oxygen mask on, Zara couldn't speak properly, so she started signing, shocking the viewers who were enjoying themselves as they kept on throwing bullet comments, harassing each other and so forth.

ZARA: Is everything prepared?

"Um, we already informed the manager yesterday. You don't need to worry about everything else!"

When she heard that, Zara was relieved.

After walking for ten minutes or so, they finally arrived. Just to go to the shop she was going to, Zara brought Emma, Ava and six guards with her.

The eight other's faces were blurred, so viewers couldn't see the people who were accompanying Zara at all.

When they arrived, Zara wasn't shocked when she saw the people who were waiting respectfully for them. That was the power of money.

She didn't want to bump into other people. As her body and skin were complicated, she didn't want to risk her health.

So, she had Emma clear out the people from the shop. That way she can shop in peace without being gawked at.

"Welcome!" the man standing in front of several men and women said warmly and respectfully as he looked directly at Zara.

Zara nodded her head at the man before the man looked at Emma.

"Thank you. We don't have much time; can we go straight to business?"

"Sure, sure. Please, come this way!"

With such an enthusiastic manager leading them, it wasn't long before Zara and the viewers were in shock as they looked at a warehouse filled with fabrics.

[OMG! What are we doing in a fabric shop?]

[I can't believe that she took us there.]

[I just want to know what she is up to!]

The viewers were baffled and so was Lena, who just couldn't understand what her daughter was up to. Why was she going to such a dangerous place? What if she got allergies from those other fabrics that she didn't use?

She was so worried and helpless. Especially when she thought of how her daughter wouldn't bother to listen to her at all.

In the end, all she could do was watch helplessly and pray that nothing would happen to her.

Back at the fabric shop, Zara's eyes were sparkling as she looked at different fabrics.

"Princess, which ones do you want?" Emma asked curiously.

Honestly, she didn't have a single clue what Zara was up to this time. From nowhere, she had instructed her to stop by in town V. She wanted to buy fabrics and that was it.

And now they were in the shop, looking forward to what Zara was about to do.

Zara raised her hands once again and started signing.

ZARA: I want black and white light-weight cotton fabrics. Bring me to them.

When Emma saw that, she turned to look at the manager and conveyed what Zara had just said.

When the manager heard that, he said enthusiastically, "They are in that row. Should I bring them to you or do you want to go?"

"We will go there ourselves!"

With that decision made, the group of people headed towards the aisle where the lightweight fabrics were.
