The Billionaire's Cursed Heiress

Zara Hansley had always believed herself forsaken by the gods due to the terminal illness she was diagnosed with. Every doctor she visited had declared she would not live past her 23rd birthday. Yet, when left with only a few months to live, Zara found out that the root of her illness was a curse, one which she could break. Just like that, she was given a new chance at life—she had to scour the earth for the cure in just a few short months or succumb to her fate. Fate, however, was a funny thing—it brought her to a stranger that would alter the course of her life forever, and his life by her. Born to an ancient family, Amir Frostcrown was cursed to bring misfortune to any female around him. Not only that, he was able to hear the thoughts of others, thus further drawing a line between him and other ordinary folk. As such, while these abilities amassed him an enormous wealth over the years, he was destined to live a loveless life of solitude. That all changed when his and Zara’s paths crossed. As someone that was completely unaffected by his curses and abilities, Amir Frostcrown was immediately intrigued by this dying girl. One dream, one vow, and two curses. That was all it took for Zara to tumble from the world of reality into fantasy. Would she be able to find her cure in time? When secrets are revealed, would Zara and Amir Frostcrown stand the test of time? *** “We were fated to be from the beginning!” he amusedly declared as he looked at her dotingly, eyes sparkling and only her image visible in his blue eyes. “I don’t believe in fate!” Zara mumbled softly as she looked to the ground, afraid of facing him and the undeniable truth he spoke of. “But don’t you see?” Amir asked. “Isn’t fate what led us to this very moment?”

CHAPTER 12: PLANS

As she looked at the beautiful trees with their branches filled with green leaves swaying, Zara was happy.

'It was worth it coming out here!' she thought with a smile on her face.

And what was interesting for her was how she could finally see that place with her own eyes. After seeing the place for a very long time through videos and photos, Zara was just happy.

Although she didn't last thirty minutes outside, she was still glad that she saw a lot. And since it was nighttime, Zara couldn't do much, but that didn't mean that tomorrow would be as dull as today.

So, after spending a short time outside, Zara returned to the RV, where she was fed another small plate of watery porridge and a packet of nutrient solution.

After having her dinner, Zara gathered Emma and Ava for a meeting.

With everyone gathered in her bedroom, Zara started. As it was taxing for her to speak fluently and express herself, Zara had another method of communicating, something that she had been doing for much longer.

Although her body was weak, her hands, at times, would work pretty well. As long as she didn't overtax them, she would survive.

So, when the meeting started, Zara started using sign language to communicate slowly with the two. Fortunately, the two were also proficient in sign language, since that was another fast method for them to communicate. And that was even more so when Zara was on the oxygen mask.

She couldn't talk freely, so they were left with no choice.

ZARA: I will be making my streams longer starting tomorrow. Do you have any problems with that?

Emma looked at Zara with a doting expression as she responded. "As long as you are happy, I will go with whatever you pick."

"For me, you just need to make sure that you go to the toilet in time, eat your meals, take your medicine and nap on time. Now the question for me would be, are you sure that you want to show this side to your fans?"

Zara smiled weakly as she looked at Ava. Ava had indeed mentioned something that was very important.

If she wanted to extend her streaming hours, it also meant that she would be exposing a lot regarding herself. And from what she knew, most people hated to show their weak side to people.

However, she wanted to show her family that she was recovering, though she still wasn't sure that she would not die in three months.

At the same time, she also wanted to give hope to a few terminally ill patients out there that they don't need to be embarrassed by their conditions. It's not like they asked to get sick in the first place. Just because they were sick and dying, did that also mean that they didn't have the right to do what they loved?

ZARA: I understand your worries. I will still stream. This might be the first and last trip I will take in my life. I want to document it. Even if I were to drop dead tomorrow, my mother and family would have a memory of me. If I were to survive and live longer, I would at least have made a memory that I can actually look back to.

Zara signed as she looked at the two women with determination oozing from every single pore of hers.

ZARA: I am tired of hiding. So just bear with me. And don't worry, I will take my medicine on time as well. I don't care what those haters would say about me. As long as I am happy, who cares about others?

Upon hearing that, the two women who had become gloomy after hearing what Zara had said first about dying couldn't help but chuckle with relief.

As usual, our Missy is still a domineering princess! They were relieved to see her like that.

"Okay, then we can do that."

"So, after we leave here, are there any places that you want to drop by?"

Upon hearing that, Zara's eyes lit up.

ZARA: Of course, there are plenty of places that I want to stop by. As long as we reach the final destination in a month, I am cool with the pace that we are moving with right now.

Zara was going on a trip and if she had taken a plane, she would have already been there. From Kuville City to Lingren, the village where she was headed. It would have taken at least ten hours in total.

With five to six hours spent on the plane and the rest on the road.

Lingren village was a remote village that was eighty kilometers away from the nearest town. The roads weren't good at all, so the road was bumpy. It would take long for anyone to safely reach that village.

And knowing how dangerous it was, Zara wanted to have as much fun as she could have as she went there.

Since she didn't use the fastest route of getting there but instead chose to go by road and with fanfare, it was going to take her a while to reach there.

If she wasn't going to stop frequently on the road, the earliest she would reach Lingren would be in a week or so. That was just for her since she couldn't be in a car that would move too fast.

However, for others, that would be in two to three days.

But now, that one-week trip was going to be extended to one month, and all that was happening because Zara was planning to stop by several places she had looked into before.

She was going to become a traveling blogger and show her fans and viewers how many beautiful places there were in her country.

Although what she was seeking in Lingren was important, enjoying herself in the process was also essential.

If she wasn't happy, who could guarantee her trip would be successful in the end?
