Let the game begin

Flower dialed Japheth's number on her phone while Marrissa sat on Flower's bed looking over at Flower.

"Hello,Mr. Japheth. It's me the chef, Flower" Flower responded as soon as soon as Mr. Japheth picked the call.

"I know. So what decision have to come to considering my offer" he asked from the other end.

"I decided to accept it" Flower Stated.

"That's good to hear. You'll start work tomorrow," Japheth declared.

"What? Tomorrow?" Flower gasped, surprised at the suddenness.

"Yes, my boss wants you to start as soon as possible," Japheth replied.

"Okay then," Flower responded, a mix of nervousness and excitement creeping in.

"What did he say?" Marissa inquired, curious about the phone conversation.

"He said I'll start work tomorrow," Flower replied, her voice filled with anticipation.

"That's quite soon, but since we can't miss out on such a rare opportunity, we need to start preparing now," Marissa remarked, determined to help Flower make the most of this chance.

Flower stood in front of the mirror, admiring herself. She was wearing a long, elegant red dress with loose sleeves that draped over her shoulders. The dress was cinched at the waist with a beautiful white pattern adorning the chest and sleeve ends. Her hair was tied back in a messy ponytail, giving her a confident yet effortless look. She felt radiant.

She smiled at her reflection, feeling a mixture of excitement and nervousness bubbling within her. Today was her first day at her new workplace. Japheth had already texted her the address, and she couldn't wait to get there. She had officially resigned from her previous job at the restaurant, and even though Manager might be disappointed, Flower knew she had made the right choice. Taking this new opportunity meant being able to provide better for herself and her family. Marrissa had packed her bags the previous day, so she was all set to begin her new journey. She was going to start a new life in a different place, away from the familiarity of her family. She wondered how her life would unfold at this new workplace, but she prayed that it would bring positive changes and new opportunities.

As she gathered her belongings, including a small packed lunch Marrissa prepared for her, Flower couldn't help but feel a deep sense of gratitude toward her friend and her family. Their support and encouragement meant the world to her. She knew she wouldn't be standing here, ready to embark on this new chapter, without their unwavering belief in her.

With a final glance in the mirror, Flower took a deep breath and stepped out of her room, ready to face the unknown and embrace the possibilities that lay ahead. As she left, she whispered a silent prayer, hoping that her journey would not only bring prosperity but also fulfillment and happiness.

….

Nancy Hamilton was in her room having a video call with her boyfriend.

"I'll meet you at school," she said and terminated the video call.

She lived with her dad, who wasn't home at the moment.

A maid could be seen climbing the luxurious stairs, her pale complexion evident.

She eventually reached the third door and walked towards it.

"Miss Nancy, your breakfast is ready!" she announced loudly, bowing in front of the door.

Almost immediately, Nancy stormed out of the room, pushing the maid out of the way. She smirked and started walking downstairs, her heels looking fashionable with her leather shorts and top.

She reached the dining table and settled down, a cold expression on her face. Nancy grabbed her spoon and took a taste of the banana split, but she instantly spat it out.

"You added plum extract?" she glared at the maid.

"Sir ordered me to add it," the maid replied. Nancy scoffed before reaching for the wine cup.

She took a sip but promptly spewed it out as well.

"You added plum extract to this too?" Her eyes widened.

"Sir ordered me to..."

That was all the old maid could say before Nancy threw the wine at her face.

"Dad is not the one eating, so why do you have to listen to his orders concerning my meals?!" she yelled, causing the woman to kneel immediately.

Her phone chimed, and she took it out to see a message from her two friends.

"Waiting for you outside, girl."

"What's up?"

Nancy smiled before replying, "I'm about to come down."

She put her phone in her pocket and looked at the maid, who was still on her knees.

"We'll talk when I come back."

Nancy stormed out of the house to meet her friends.

"Hi girls," she called out.

"Let's go, girl. We're almost late for school," Nita announced.

"Who cares?" Nora rolled her eyes, and the three friends laughed before getting into their separate cars and leaving the mansion.

…..

Julienne's car zoomed into the bustling parking lot, and she quickly put on her sleek black sunglasses. She turned to Honeybell with excitement in her voice.

"Get ready to embark on an incredible new journey at Lakeside University," she said, flashing a smile before stepping out of the car. Julienne was adorned in a flowing pastel blue dress with delicate lace details. The dress beautifully complemented her fair complexion and brought out the light blue hues in her eyes. It featured a modest V-neckline, cinched at the waist with a dainty ribbon belt, accentuating her slender figure. The dress fell just above her knees, showcasing her toned legs. To complete her ensemble, she wore a pair of nude flats and a silver pendant necklace, exuding an air of elegance and grace.

"Enne is here!!!"

"OMG! She looks stunning!"

"Julie , you've captured my heart!"

"Gosh! She's driving me crazy!"

Within seconds, students surrounded her, snapping pictures as she posed gracefully, showcasing her designer outfit.

Tifana also stepped out of the car, dressed stylishly. She wore a fit-and-flare floral dress adorned with vibrant shades of pink, yellow, and green. The dress featured a sweetheart neckline and small pearl buttons down the front, adding a hint of vintage charm. The skirt flared out, ending at mid-thigh length, accentuating her long and slender legs.
