OBSERVING HER REACTION

OBSERVING HER REACTION

Anne wasn't sure what she heard was correct, with surprise etched on her face, "Sir?"

Richmond had to repeat himself, "Don't go. I want you to stay with me," he muttered.

Anne felt her heart pounding and she nodded her head slowly, sitting back on the beach chair.

Richmond stared at Anne with concern on his face, "Have you eaten yet?" He glanced at the food, a mix of curiosity and concern crossing his face.

He was well aware that his food choices were unconventional, even off-putting to some. The thought that Anne might find his food repulsive lingered in his mind.

Anne shook her head, "No, I was going to give you the flask and head back to the station."

Richmond nodded his head and muttered, "OK," he stood up from the chair, and dropped the flask. His mind made up, heading to the barbecue station where Dawson was grilling the meat.
