CHAPTER 49: THE OLD MAN

THE OLD MAN

Anne was still in the car, fuming from the embarrassment and sobbing she received from Richmond.

"What a cruel man, giving and taking at the same time," she murmured, not knowing that Richmond could hear her statement.

Richmond chuckled lightly, at least someone would be at the cafe with him. She would lessen the weight of the strong feelings that plagued his heart. He didn't know why he told the driver to stop the car, coming here was never part of the day's schedule.

He breathed in the air deeply, his chest constricting to take in as much as his lungs could endure, the air felt familiar and wonderful to him as he stood, not minding the gazes people threw at him.

The air did him a lot of good, he felt lighter and better than he did before.
