“I have bad news Boss. Your wife was kidnapped from the cruise ship. Her bodyguards colluded with the kidnappers.” “What? “ The pen he was holding snapped into two. Played For A Fool

Erik stood from the couch and looked at their wedding photo for the commercials they did for Bay Gardens Residences.  She was sitting on a swing decorated with beautiful flowers.  He was standing behind her lovingly looking at the pretty bride's slightly upturned face.

Perhaps Erik's rational mind has accepted that indeed there was no chance for her to survive the tornado. But his stubborn heart was in denial. For as long as he did not see the corpse of his wife, he will hold onto a glimmer of hope that she was still alive.

"Yana, why did it come to this? Next week is only our first wedding anniversary!  All the preparations for our wedding are already in place.  I told you, I will give you a proper wedding."  He lamented bitterly.

At the end of the week, with very little sleep and no nourishment, coupled with extreme exhaustion and emotional upheaval, Erik collapsed and went into a coma. He stayed in the hospital for a week.
