Chapter 65

Javier brings his hand up to his face, rubbing his eyes as he holds the wall for support. Alisa, noticing something was wrong with Javier, stood up.  

However, before Alisa could approach further, Javier raised a hand in a halting gesture. "Don't come over here." 

Alisa freezes in her tracks, her eyes widening in concern. Javier pushes through the dizziness clouding his senses. Despite the overwhelming sensation of lightheadedness, Javier pressed on as he walked toward her.  

As he finally reaches Alisa, his legs buckle beneath him. He stumbles forward, his hands moving for balance as he tries to catch himself. 

But it's too late.  

With a heavy thud, Javier collapses to the ground.  

"Are you okay?" Alisa said as she dropped to her knees beside him.  

Her hands were reaching out to him when he held her hand. "Don't touch me. I am alright."
