Back On Track

Liam and the rest of the gang were indeed cautious, they showed no signs that they even inhabited the place, but unfortunately their actions were about to be exposed.

Some of the men had been assigned to stealthily go around the warehouse for any information they could possibly get, and when they came back, the information they brought sparked the dying hope in Lucas.

"They have her and she's tied to a chair!", Seth said as he had led the stealth operation they had quickly conducted.

"We're going in!", Lucas didn't need any other approval, he already had what he needed to bust their actions, and to think that they had the audacity to tie Audrey to a chair. 

Of course, in order not to attract attention, not all the men went, but those that went were enough to over power Liam and his men.

As planned, they infiltrated the warehouse, waiting on Lucas's signal to go in.

" To think that you could be so foolish to leave the door open!", The familiar deep voice reverberated in the room, sending shivers down the spine of most men who had thought there would be no threat for the night.

Liam's men quickly pointed their guns towards where they heard the voice come from. "Who is that?!", Liam asked, his voice loud, as he was trying to mask the fact that he was terrified.

"You even had the guts to tie her up to a chair!", Lucas said, coming out of the shadows, when suddenly red dots were on the forehead of each man in the room except Audrey.

" What, what?!, how did you find me?!", Liam screamed, looking around, terrified by the amount of red dots that were pointed at the men.

"I told you to come alone!!", Liam screamed again, taking steps towards Lucas before he realized that he was caught, he didn't even tell Lycas their loaction. 

" You take one more step and your head would be blown into pieces!", Lucas said, his tone as cold as ice.

"How did you find me?!", Liam asked against he thought he had tied up the loose ends. " A little birdie told me!!", Lucas said, grateful to the man who had told them about Liam's whereabouts.

In no time, the police appeared, taking Liam and his men out of the warehouse and to the police station. 

Liam had his head down after hearing all his deeds being charged against him, and it was at that moment he knew he had gone too far.

The headache that Audrey had earlier, coupled with the fact that she hadn't had any food and she was tied to a chair was enough to make the Allergy even worse than it had to.

The said chemical which John had made her inhale earlier was very harmful to her body, a certain component in it was something she was allergic to.

It could have been minimal, just some slight irritation that would be suppressed after sleeping and waking up, but her body was too stressed that she passed out while the police were arresting Liam and his henchmen.

"Baby!!", Lucas called out in nervousness. After all, he had realized that he was in the wrong and he needed to apologize.

After calling her several times and she didn't reply, Lucas got closer and untied her, her body falling towards him as she had passed out.

Immediately, medical attention was called and she was helped to get to the hospital where she was treated.

It took a while but Audrey eventually woke up, and all the while she was asleep, Lucas sat beside her, feeling guilty and begging that  she would wake up and give him any sort of reaction.

" Hey, hey, hey, hey!!", Lucas called after seeing Audrey's eye lids flutter open. He helped her up, Audrey not needing to exert any sort of energy.

"Here you go?!", Lucas said after he was sure Audrey was aware of where she was, she took the water, gulping it down in desperation as she really needed it in the first place.

Deciding to get everything off his chest, Lucas decided to just come clean, he really needed her to know that he wasn't cheating.

He did tell her, Audrey wanting to stay in his muscular arms as he told her the whole thing.

" Maybe I should have stayed then!".

"I'm sorry babe, I just didn't want her to hit her head and then pin the blame on me!", Lucas said, still trying to explain.

" It's okay!!", Audrey said, assuring Lucas for the last time.

Audrey was discharged soon after, Lucas appointing extra men from his security detail to hers, he didn't want the same thing to repeat itself.

All the heinous skeletons Liam tried to hide in his cupboard was finally exposed and everything he built, he watched the government seize from him.

He lost everything in the bid to be better, all his property, his wife, his happy family, his businesses, everything, all in the blink of an eye.

The incident served as a lesson for both lovers, one where both learnt just how much they meant to each other.

Emily on the other hand didn't want to stop at first, however when she heard the severity of what she had caused, she knew Lucas wouldn't even want to hear from her.

She suddenly remembered all that Tessa had told her, making her feel even more embarrassed. She never went back to "claim" Lucas as "her own", instead she left the country, where she finally found love.
