The Big O: The Final Act

Roger Smith, the top negotiator of Paradigm City, takes on his largest case yet. Along the way, he discovers certain things have changed in this world. As if things were not already complicated in his household…

The reset has been completed, but not without a few quirks. Big O has yet to be summoned in this new reset. Dastun is now chief of the Military Police. Angel is now the President of the Paradigm Corporation. But the biggest change lies within the Smith Mansion. Dorothy finds herself to be a human, changed by Angel herself during the reset. As she struggles to understand her human emotions and behaviors, Roger discovers from Angel that someone else may be in control of her power than just herself. Fearing for the safety of those he cares about, Roger accepts Angel's case to negotiate on her behalf with those who control her power or find a way to get rid of it for good. And if that isn't enough to contend with, Roger finds himself negotiating a case with Beck, now a successful millionaire, in Paradigm City on a public works project that will change its future with its neighbor, Electric City.

With these changes, Roger enlists the help of Dorothy, asking her to become a partner in his firm. As they investigate Angel's case and others, they begin to grow close and understand one another, developing a mutual interest and respect for each other, both as professionals and as companions. As their relationship grows, Angel will find herself moving away from hopes of a relationship with Roger, and turning to Dastun, first as her confidant, then as a companion as well.

As Roger and Dorothy grow closer to one another, Roger begins to reflect on who he is and his purpose in this world. Is playing a part or has he always been The Negotiator? As searches for the answer, Roger and his butler, Norman, help Dorothy discover what it means to be human again. The answers will surprise Roger himself and help him with his own soul searching.

But while Roger and Norman help Dorothy deal with her humanity, Angel discovers the power of her abilities and the true origins of Big Venus. The discoveries will shock her to her core and those involved in her case. While doing so, the threat finally emerges from the shadows, more powerful than any foe they have all face up to this point. With the clock ticking, Roger and Dorothy find themselves on a destructive path, tracking down pieces of the past and present, finding that in order to solve Angel's case, once and for all, they may have to solve the mystery of what happened forty years ago, testing their negotiating skills, and their relationship with one another.

Unlikely alliances will be made. The fate of humanity and the world hangs on a thread. Roger Smith has always had his Big friend to handle tough cases before. But it may not be enough in the end to save the world. Will Roger be able to solve the mystery of the past and save Paradigm City from its cruel fate? Will he be able conclude negotiations with Angel's case? And will he come to terms with his feelings for the woman he cares about, more than anyone?
