Simply Can't Compare

There was only a genuine rage bubbling inside Jayline from each passing second he stared into Asher's calm face.

Before the Potential Assembly, Jayline was arrogant and confident enough in triumphing over Asher. But because of that Peak Stage Earth Tier talent and Hayato's own prowess, he was a bit cautious that Asher might have some sort of surprise.

Moreover, after the Potential Assembly was over, Asher definitely wouldn't have the same status as before. This is also why he asked his boss if he should continue with this plan.

And when he was still given the go, Jayline had the initial plans to thoroughly destroy Asher, making him realize his confidence in his talent was nothing.

Yet….here they were, in a reversal situation.

Instead of Asher being battered and broken, Jayline was the one in an absolute disadvantage position. Numerous of his bones were brutally cracked to pieces, Asher's Ghost Lightning was still rummaging within him, and his right wrist was utterly broken!

Throughout everything, Jayline just kept asking in his mind; how and why?!

He's the strongest Early Stage Spirit Tier student in the whole Balreth Academy! So what Asher has an extremely high talent? His prowess should not be this high!

What made all of this even more horrifyingly shocking was the fact that just mere days ago, Asher's Magical Aura was so pitifully weak.

'This is impossible! Impossible!! I can't fucking lose to him!!' Being in this position made Jayline recall Zara's duel with Asher.

She also was immensely arrogant at first but had quickly ended up getting destroyed by Asher.

And now Jayline realized it was going to be a repeat of history with himself! Even just now, Asher was calmly standing, allowing Jayline to gather his power as if he could still dominate him either way.

Hatred, utter hatred filled every inch of Jayline's body. He was someone who could dominate anybody he wanted to and yet….Jayline clutched his broken wrist even tighter.

A genuine Killing Intent expression plastered on Jayline's face as his Spirit Aura reached its maximum limit!

'Chi!'

A full burst of brilliant green flames spread all over the metallic stage, making the whole arena look like a green inferno hell.

Around Jayline's body, a completed blazing green Fire Spirit Aura shrouded him; at this point, he wasn't going to hold back anymore!

"Th-this power!!"

All other students were in absolute awe over Jayline's full power Spirit Aura. Their eyes couldn't split off from Jayline; he had an enrapturing presence with that blazing green Fire aura.

Jayline's absolute full power even caused the Ranking Genius students to narrow their eyes. Clearly, they didn't even expect his power to be this high.

In fact, they never saw him go all out before.

Now, everyone wondered just how Asher could act so calmly in the face of such overwhelming might.

Back on stage, Jayline's expression turned even fiercer as he watched Asher just calmly standing there. He began to mistake Asher's calmness for fear because of his Killing Intent rage.

A vicious smirk began to cross Jayline's lips, already forming ways on how he'll enjoy crushing Asher's bones to tiny pieces. His voice came out as feral as he tried to shout out,

"VIP-"

Whatever threat Jayline was about to shout would never see the light of day. His breathing got hitched, cold sweat dripped from his face, fear warped his entire being.

The cause for all of this was Asher's own prowess dramatically increasing.

Asher had felt some mild pressure against Jayline's Spirit Aura. If he wanted to test himself, he would've tried fighting Jayline without pulling out his full power.

But Asher didn't want a challenge; he wanted to crush!

'Chi!'

Asher's prowess explosively increased, toppling right over Jayline's and spraying out across the whole field.

All eyes immediately fell on Asher, and no one could take his sight off from him.

Shrouding Asher's body was his own Ghost Lightning Spirit Aura that looked as majestic as a thunderous storm. Compared to Jayline's raging Fire Spirit Aura, Asher's Spirit Aura was calm, controlled, and refined.

His Ghost Lightning Aura didn't chaotically sway; it nearly perfectly wrapped around his body, akin to a Lightning armor.

Somehow, Asher's decently appearance was elevated at this moment.

His shoulder-length black elegantly swayed from the fierce winds his prowess was causing. His stature seemed far more imposing than before, and his calm expression made him look inviting to talk to.

When Asher's Spirit Aura power washed over them, no students leaked any uproar. Everyone alike, down to even the Professors, stared unblinkingly at him.

Asher's prowess was tremendous! It truly felt like you would get caught in the middle of a powerful thunderous storm!

Jayline's prowess was a mere small stream compared to Asher's Spirit Aura.

And on stage, Jayline himself also came to this terrifying realization. There was a choking lump in his throat as his whole body was immensely suppressed.

Forget moving; Jayline could barely breathe under Asher's thunderous prowess.

Suddenly then, Asher took a single step forward, and he abruptly flashed right in front of Jayline's face!

Asher's cold eyes dauntingly glared down on Jayline's trembling form, examining him like he was a piece of trash. A steel-like, cold voice boomed from Asher's mouth, drilling right into Jayline's ears, sending freezing shivers down his spine.

"Vipond what? Do you want to shout because you realize how truly pathetically weak you are?"

Without giving Jayline a chance to react to his mocking words, Asher reached out towards Jayline's other wrist at Lightning speeds.

In a mere nanosecond, Asher had Jayline wrist in his palm; the blazing Fire Spirit Aura couldn't affect Asher at all. Asher had then savagely crushed every bone in his wrist with a violent clench of his palm!

All of Jayline's wrist bones were shattered to mere tiny cracks as a horrifying loud crack echoed out in the whole field.

"AH-AHHHH!!!"

Jayline's eyes burst open wide as he squealed a blood-curdling shriek. Along with breaking his bones, Asher's Spirit Aura prowess had also drilled into Jayline's body, adding an additional tremendous layer of pain.

The students sucked in a cold breath at this dominating display. Asher looked even more terrifying than the Kane Gang now!

Even Hayato felt his chest tighten to the point of suffocation under Asher's Aura and ruthless action.

"Hmph."

A cold snort blared around in Jayline's mind, causing him to abruptly stop shrieking just from overwhelming fear.

Asher was uncaring about Jayline's pain or what other students thought of his action. Doing something so ruthless and savage was reminding him of previous painful memories that couldn't help but surge at this moment.

Furthermore, Asher could feel another sensation inside himself, goading him to be even more ruthless.

But Asher pushed all other distractions down as he continued to say, "Weren't you going to destroy my friends in a similar manner? Weren't you going to destroy me just like this? Guess you could never have expected this twist, huh?"

Right then, Asher sent a clean fist straight at Jayline's face, breaking his cheekbones instantaneously. Nearly all of Jayline's teeth were bashed out of his mouth from only one strike from Asher.

Jayline's teeth and blood sprayed around the metallic stage, and he was sent skidding along the ground for over thirty feet as Asher had finally let go of his broken wrist.

Jayline stopped rolling once he reached a bit more than thirty feet back.

But, instead of going limp, Jayline immediately raised his head when he stopped rolling. A crazed, insane expression was plastered on his battered, bloody face.

No matter the immense pain he was feeling or his utterly broken pride, one thought took absolute precedent in Jayline's mind.

That is to vaporize Asher into dust!

"AHH!! Die!! Inferno Alienation!!!" Right then, Jayline's prowess monstrously increased again.

His blazing Spirit Aura had suddenly exploded high in the air, reaching thirty feet into the skies!

"Ah!! Stop the fight!!"

"He's going to kill him!!"

The students were all frantic as Jayline's prowess gave all newly awakened students a legitimate sense of death! They all thought this Battle Skill will surely destroy Asher until there's nothing left of him!

"Asher!!" Kylee's eyes went wide, and she tried to dash towards the stage, wanting to ignore the tremendous pressure there.

But right then, Reese fiercely clamped down her shoulder, halting her movements. His eyes were equally surprised, but he still said, "Don't do anything foolish! Just look at Asher's face!"

"Why!...Eh??"

Kylee blinked her eyes several times. Asher was utterly calm, not even the slightest bit affected by Jayline's Battle Skill.

She and many others couldn't get this. How can he still be so calm even when facing a truly powerful Battle Skill!

Over at the Ranking Genius side, Elsa nearly had the same reaction as Asher.

But, with one look at Asher's calm face, it managed to quell a few of her nerves. She knew that he must have some sort of plan in mind. Though it didn't make her feel completely calm as her nerves still slowly surged.

At any first sign of genuine death danger, she was prepared to jump in. Elsa didn't care if this would expose their relationship as long as it means Asher kept his life.

But Elsa and everyone else's worries would soon be unfounded.

Asher's lips curved into a slight smirk, and he simultaneously heard Yuki enthusiastically say,

'Asher! Show them all what a true Battle Skill is like!'

Right then, Jayline's Battle Skill was done charging. He had then snapped his mouth open wide and unleashed his Inferno Annihilation Skill! Blasting from his mouth was a powerful green fire beam that caused the air to reach boiling temperatures.

In the face of this attack, Asher simply raised his palm and shouted,

"Omni Striker!"

Asher's prowess tremendously increased again, immediately toppling over Jayline's Battle Skill power in a single second.

Jaws nearly hit the floor as they all realized that Asher had just formed a Battle Skill!

But, how the hell could he do that?!

That question would be doom to be left unanswered as at the center of Asher's palm, a single Ghost Lightning voltage bolt formed.

Asher had then flicked the voltage bolt straight at Jayline's Inferno Annihilation, reaching speeds that far surpassed his Battle Skill.

'Bang!'

Jayline's Inferno Annihilation was utterly decimated to mere tiny fire wisp on the first contact with Asher's single voltage bolt!

The Omni Striker bolt didn't stop and continued to soar straight Jayline's bewildered face.

Jayline was finally utterly powerless. Asher's Battle Skill powers suppressed every inch of his entire being. Before he got struck, Jayline had realized then, their Kane Gang provoked a demonic genius.

With no resistance at all, Asher's Omni Strike bolt crashed onto Jayline's face, wrapped his body in a Ghost Lightning aura, and sent him flying out of the stage.

Jayline brutally crashed onto the ground, but before he even landed, he was knocked out cold.

Immediately, a staff came to pick up Jayline's unconscious body for healing, but before they left, even they spared a glance towards Asher.

Asher stood tall and accomplished, basking in the utter silence that suddenly encompassed the field after it was so noisy and bustling.
