Perseverance

"Everyone, hold on to me and don't let go for even a second. Reese, Kylee, don't resist the energy that will flow in your body." Asher explained while also fishing out a blue liquid color vail from his spatial ring.

Immediately, Reese and Kylee's eyes were naturally drawn to it.

The liquid inside the vial almost seemed to have a radiant glow about it. Plus, they both could sense the leakage of pure Mana energy from the vial. So this is the Mana energy potion! The potion that they will be relying on to get out of here alive.

Holding the potion in his hand, Asher could feel a trace of sweat from his palm. Understandably, he was under considerable pressure. Just one careless mistake, and all of their lives will be forfeited.

Asher had to be more sure of himself than ever so none of them can meet an abrupt, tragic end.

"Like this?"

While Asher prepared himself, Reese, Kylee, and Elsa firmly grasped his shoulders.

Asher was awakened out of his thoughts by their touch and then told them, "Yes, and again don't resist my energy and don't let go."

After saying so, Asher had then released the full power of his Ghost energy. In an instant, his whole body was shrouded in a radiant blue aura that looked slightly more dazzling than his Spirit Aura Ghost Lightning.

"Hmm….Oh!"

And as Asher released his Ghost energy on full blast, Reese, Kylee, and Elsa quickly felt his energy invade their bodies.

Doing as Asher said, none of them resisted his Ghost Energy. Sensing Ghost Energy flow smoothly through their bodies, Reese, Kylee, and Elsa all felt incredibly warm.

It was like Asher's Ghost energy was a ray of warm sunlight. They all felt far more relaxed and calmer about their current deadly situation.

With Asher's Ghost energy inside them, Reese, Kylee, and Elsa were beginning to legitimately feel like they could get through this.

After only a couple of seconds of Ghost energy flowing in their bodies, Reese, Kylee, and Elsa gained a similar dazzling blue aura shrouding their bodies.

"Asher this power…."

"It feels so unreal!"

Reese spoke first, and Kylee finished their praise.

Out of everything they experienced in their lives, Reese and Kylee could safely say this was the warmest sensation they ever felt.

"Asher….I knew there would be a possibility for this to happen. But….how did you advance so far to cover all of us?"

Elsa asked with great interest. Every time Asher begins pulling out his ability, it always seems like he tremendously improves from the last time. And it wasn't like Asher had weeks to practice.

Quite literally, Asher only had hours to practice if he stayed up all night. Yet, in that short amount of time, his Ghost Powers took another massive leap. His bouts of improvement are simply unbelievable.

Now, Elsa felt the pressure of Asher's genius talent increase even more.

"Well, last night, I just cultivated as hard as I could. And with some help from detailed manuals, I did the best I can." Asher calmly spoke. He didn't become too prideful or boastful of his achievements.

Honestly speaking, Asher knows he only got this far with his Phasing ability because of Yuki's extreme guidance last night. Without her, Asher was sure he would still be a frog at the bottom of the well with his Ghost powers.

Taking his mind off this subject, Asher focused on his Ghost energy reserve consumption.

Because he's supporting four people, Asher sensed he could hold this form for ten seconds at best. And with the speed they could possibly go, the distance towards the exit, and the amount of Mana potions he has, Asher felt a bit worried.

Getting over to the exit will be an incredibly tight fit.

Clutching the Mana potion like his life depended on it, Asher told the others, "Ok guys, never let go of me! And don't stop running. On my marks….Go!"

Then, without any more delay, Asher, Reese, Kylee, and Elsa threw all caution into the wind and began dashing towards the exit.

And at the very moment Asher's group took only several steps out, they all sensed a tremendous burst of energy form right above their heads!

Deathly cold shivers crawled down each of their spines. Whatever energy forming above them wasn't anything their Aura Sense could accurately identify.

It was power far above Spirit Mana and far above Origin Mana energy!

However, nobody stopped running for even a second. Everyone ignored their survival instinct screaming at them to turn back now.

And at that moment, the temperature exponentially rose to boiling degrees!

A flash of a bright, violent orange suddenly spewed out from the dull gray ceiling as the chilling aura of death intensified. Before anyone in Asher's group could even wonder what was going on, a massive hole in the ceiling suddenly burst open.

Immediately when the hole appeared, molten lava spewed out from the crater like a scorching waterfall. The molten lava crashed right onto Asher, Reese, Kylee, and Elsa, submerging them entirely within it.

In an instant, the molten lava spread out in the room for dozens of feet, creating a scene akin to a burning hell.

Although, despite the power and intense heat of the lava, the floor didn't burn at all.

Furthermore, the floor wasn't the only thing not affected.

'Hua!'

Four blue lights shot straight out of the molten lava without any trouble at all. Just like Asher expected, none of them can be touched now.

No matter if the power-hitting them was at an unfathomable high level, nothing could affect Asher's phasing abilities.

Reese Kylee and Elsa all had various thoughts storming their minds.

Phasing was even more amazing than they could ever have expected! However, with their current situation, the trio mainly focuses on running and tightly clinging on to Asher's body.

'Still, these traps….I don't see how anyone could reasonably get through this.' Asher worriedly mused to himself.

While it's great that his phasing ability is working so well, Asher couldn't help but feel even more dread for what's ahead.

But Asher only dwells on the future for just a moment. He had then refocused his attention on his Ghost Energy reserves.

Already he detected his reserves plummeted to about 30%.

Without hesitating, Asher downed his first Magic energy potion, instantly recharging his Ghost energy reserves. After taking his first swig, Asher, Reese, Kylee, and Elsa soon fell into a smooth rhythm.

They continued to brazenly barrel through all sorts of deadly traps.

To fatal Mana blasts, thousands of arrows raining down on them or even spikes from the ceiling, nothing could affect Asher's group.

Seeing how easily they were clearing all traps, Reese, Kylee, and Elsa started to feel slightly more relieved. Their eyes stared intently at Asher's back as a new level of respect began to swirl within their minds.

There probably wasn't anyone else in the whole Pearlcrest City who could achieve what Asher's doing. This ability is so heaven-defying, and yet, Asher was apparently controlling it with ease.

To be able to get to this level of control, Reese, Kylee, and Elsa can tell he would've needed to crazily practice over and over again.

Moreover, they all know Asher wasn't the kind of person who training so hard just for himself. On the contrary, all of his hard work was for all of them to grow powerful together.

Reese, Kylee, and Elsa weren't fully aware of it before. But now, they are genuinely beginning to admire this level of dedication Asher has.

All the while his team was having several changing thoughts about him, Asher was undergoing the most stress he ever had in his life.

Every single one of his movements had to be perfectly calculated.

If he's just a nanosecond slower, then these traps would swallow them whole. They wouldn't even have a corpse left behind if they were hit by any trap.

With their speeds, Asher's group was about twenty feet from the exit.

Only a half minute passed at most, but Asher felt like he was running for several hours already. Continually draining his Ghost Energy reserves to near depletion and instantly refilling them again was beginning to cause a fuzzy sensation to warp Asher's entire consciousness.

But, with Asher's desperate perseverance, he finally led everyone right to the exit!

"Fuuu~...."

As soon as they all took the final step in front of the exit, Reese, Kylee, and Elsa instinctively let out a sigh of immense relief.

Now that they were at the exit, none of them could sense that frightening death aura here. Just like with the entrance of the room, they all assumed this is another safe spot.

Asher as well wanted a slight breath of relief for a split second. When he made it to the exit, he planned so his Ghost energy reserve would perfectly run out at this moment.

In his split second of lax, Asher contemplated on whether he should take another Mana energy potion. However, he felt hesitant to do it because they were running dangerously low now.

From his estimation, Asher knows he only has three Mana energy potions at most. Using one more could make it or break for whatever other deadly danger they'll need to face in the next room.

And right then, just from a single split second of hesitation, a tremendous surge of power blasted straight at Asher's group!

"Shit!!"

Asher, Reese, Kylee, and Elsa all simultaneously cursed as their Aura Senses went frantic.

Asher felt more frantic than the others. The daze fuzziness affecting his consciousness suddenly intensified at this moment, making him slower than before. Even just being a split second slower was a split second too late!

However, before despair could befall them, Elsa frantically surged all the power she could at this short moment. Both of her hands were raised high as Ice energy burst out of her body like an Ice tornado.

Near instantaneously, Elsa created a large Ice barrier faster than Asher could drink his Mana energy potion.

And immediately when she formed the Ice barrier, the room's tremendous surge of power crashed right onto it.

'Bang!'

"Ahhh!!"

Four blood arrows sprayed into the wind as Asher, Reese, Kylee, and Elsa's miserable wails echoed out in the room. Elsa's Ice Barrier didn't stand a chance, shattering into tiny wisps of Ice energy when the tremendous surge of power struck it.

With zero protection, Asher, Reese, Kylee, and Elsa were akin to broken ragdolls when the surge of power struck them. None of them could resist the tremendous power and were tossed straight into the dark corridor in front of them.
