Chapter Twenty-Eight

" Good day, Wifey. " Adam greeted announcing his arrival.

I didn't even notice when he came in.

" Welcome, back honey. " I replied taking his bag from him.

" You don't have to always do that. " He said as he embraced me.

" I know but it's my duty as a wife, alright? "

" Okay, I know that I'll never be able to win you over in an argument about this so I should give up now. "

" Good, I made dinner. "

" As expected, thank you for the trouble. "

" It's no trouble at all. " I protested.

" Okay, so what's for dinner? "

" Why don't you take a guess. "

" My favorite, egg fried rice? "

" Yes, I now Realize how smart you are. "

" Of course I am and not only am I smart, but I am also handsome, intelligent, and talented, especially in bed. "

" Ouch!, How shameless. " I exclaimed as I hit his chest with my fists I was completely embarrassed by his words though I wasn't the one that said it, I never knew that Adam could be so shameless.

" I know but you love me anyways. " He replied Proudly.

" Whatever, let's have our dinner now, it's already late. "

" Okay. " He replied as we both walked ahead to the dining table where dinner was.

" Wow, the Aroma of the food is so inviting, you did a good job, Wifey. "

" Thank you. " I replied Smiling, one thing I love most about my husband, Adam is the fact that he always made sure to compliment me whenever I did something good.

We sat down and after Saying a short prayer of thanks we began eating our food in complete silence as usual.

This attitude is what I and Adam have in common, I don't like talking while eating as I believe in doing the right thing at the appropriate time.

We've gotten all the time in the world to talk so why do that while eating when it could pose a threat to the health?

I always believe in the saying of health being wealth because it's indeed true.

After dinner.

Adam and I were sitting on the Couch in the living room, we were cuddling actually, we were watching a Chinese movie titled, ' Last Minute Romance. ' it happened to a very emotional one.

The female lead in the film was diagnosed with cancer and she had only a few months to live.

Knowing that she was going to die soon, she had only one wish and that was to date someone that looks similar to her idol who was an award winning actor as she knew that there was no way she could date her idol himself.

She had been having a crush on her idol since she was in college which lead to her having different pictures of her idol pasted on the Walls of her home.

The female lead had a best friend who happened to be a Monk, they had been best friends from high school days, they also lived in the same house as neighbors.

The female lead worked as a counselor for those who had depression and wanted to commit suicide.

While she was in her office one day she got a call on the landline number.

After picking up the call, she found out that it was a man, he was thinking of ending his life because he looked very similar to the girl's idol.

Hearing this, the girl was stunned she couldn't believe it!

She quickly requested for the guy not to leave where he was that she was going to meet up with him soon, the guy agreed and decided to wait.

The girl quickly left her office to meet the guy at the scheduled place, while she was walking towards him.

She was completely stunned by what she saw because the guy in front of her was the replica of her idol, if she hadn't known better she would have thought that he was her idol actually.

After she had approached him she inquired about the reason why he wanted to commit suicide.

The guy told her that he was completely tired of being compared to the girl's idol and wanted to end his misery by ending his life.

The girl proposed a deal which was quite tempting, she asked him to date her for an amount of time and after which she would give him a huge amount of money which he would use to Do Plastic surgery so he can change his face as that's what the guy wanted to do but he had no money.

The guy accepted the proposal as he indeed needed that money and he reasoned that there wasn't anything bad in pretending to be someone for a few months.

The duo soon started dating and soon they began to fall in love, sadly the girl died months later from cancer.

The guy was very hurt and heartbroken as by then he had falling in love with the girl despite being very aware of her condition he then donated the money she gave him to the Orphanage for the treatment of young children who were diagonised with cancer.

I could feel the tears in my eyes while watching the film.

I became so emotional as the film ended, I could feel the pain the girl felt when knowing that she was to live the people she loved most alone.

Though I was very happy that the girl's wish was fulfilled and that she got her freedom from The pain she often went through.

I wished that the girl didn't have to die, though.

" Don't cry, Honey, it's just a film okay? " He consoled as he wiped away the drops of tears from my eyes.

" I am aware of that fact but I just can't help it and it's what's happening in real life that is used to act in films okay? "

" I know. "

" It's late I guess it's time for us to go to bed. "

" Yes. " I replied as we both went upstairs to our bedroom.
